From where? I can't find it at that price.
"As a smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 2 is a mixed bag. The hardware is awesome — both internally and externally — but the software leaves a lot to be desired. It is a much better software experience than the original Watch GT but it still won’t be advanced enough for everyone. So it depends on what you are looking for: a limited experience with great battery life or a full-featured smartwatch with less longevity.
Battery life is certainly a strong point for the GT 2, as is its fitness tracking accuracy and value. However, between the lack of NFC, an app market, third-party app integration, and automatic workout-tracking, I don’t think I can recommend this over the Fitbit Versa 2 as a “better” smartwatch".

IIRC, it has NFC via an update.

Yeah, it's one of the best looking Smartwatches out there. But I think Huawei could've made this so much better. As it's such a nice base to work off.

That's correct and, it's one of the areas where Huawei, could've made this watch so much better.

Yeh? Because its cheaper or because of the features?
I still don't get the need for a smart watch. My smart phone is located in my pocket.... I don't even need a watch anymore for the same reason

Yep, I can't tell you the amount of times I've needed to read an important email whilst swimming :-)

I'm male. I always have pockets and the pockets in all men's pants readily fit a phone

I was definitely of the same opinion, but then I realised I really like collecting and wearing watches. A smartwatch to me is another watch, and a customisable one, so for that fact alone it qualifies as a justifiable addition to my collection. Whether any of the other gimmicks I find useful remains to be seen, but ultimately I just have another watch for my collection. Just bought the Samsung Galaxy 46mm.
Is there any difference between the GT and the GT active? Apart from the tenner...
Christ, I have never owned a watch in my life I don't see the point when a mobile shows the time at a glance. But this looks so good, really tempted

Incorrect, that is an unconfirmed update, only has NFC for China still.

Factually correct as the hardware has an NFC chip.

Also, please note that my original reply which you quoted was around the GT2, not GT.

Kind of see what you mean, but for me any watch needs to be waterproof, if it's a daily wearer.the idea of taking it off at the beach horrifies me..(unnaturally so) and the bonus is with a tracker of any sort that's waterproof 5 atm (mi-band 3 anyone) you can get data, even better if it's swim compatible health software, as in strokes etc..win/win

And I was replying with regards to the GT2 as in the linking and after reading a review on the GT2 saying that despite reports that it can be upgraded to NFC it is an incorrect report and NFC only works in China.
