So, 2 comments that you can get it cheaper from eBay and China - any links?

Any difference between this and the regular watch gt?

No, and you can buy sealed regular GT on eBay for £80-90.

I bought mine last week for £82.

I concur. Or directly from China with 7 day delivery.
What's integration with iOS like? Will notifications of emails/texts give title headings/full body? Does it display caller for incoming calls?

Wouldn't mind a change from apple watch and quite like the look of this

** Hmm..quick Google and seems theres a lot of notification issues for iOS and Huawei arent addressing the problems...will stick to a device that works

Quick check on eBay shows the standard GTs typically end up selling for £80-100

So is this "Active" one just a recolour? Or are there any hardware differences?

Gt 2 launches next week, so wait

Hardware is the same. Only strap and colour difference.

Very nice watch thank you for the upload But bear in mind the operating system on this called light OS which means this is not an Android wear operating system it has very limited options not like Android wear, where you can download so many things from play store and the app store.
Resolution: 454 × 454HD. Seems a bit misleading for a circular screen. Pi r squared please

Thats because Huawei were giving them away free with their phones in july so everying is selling off the free one and ebay was flooded with them.

I reckon the prices on fleabay will creep up again once the glut of free ones are all sold off.

I kept mine (free with a P30 Pro).

Its not bad, great battery life & seems to do what it says on the tin.

Doesn't have all the features of more expensive watches but the missing features are ones I'm unlikely to use.

There is only one fly in the ointment & that's an issue where the app uses some algorithm to work out daily steps adding those counted on your phone + those counted on the watch.

This means that the total number of daily steps on the app is greater than was counted on the watch which if you've been wearing it all day should be the most accurate number.

Lot of gnashing of teeth re this on the Huawei forums but I'm not sure if its been sorted yet.

To get even more battery life I've turned off the 24/7 pulse monitoring on the basis that if my heart stops there are likely to be other indicators that draw my attention to this. (the pulse monitor kicks in again when you record any "activity").

No wearOS. Huawei own OS on my GT. Depends what you want it for. Gives me notifications, GPS and can wear swimming. Wasn't particularly bothered about apps or NFC personally so went for this as battery life is incredible.

I sold mine as i have a 4g gt watch 2, i was going to keep it as a spare but the luck of music player and not being able to connect bluetooth headphones really put me off it. If battery is not important to you i would spend the bit more and get a gt watch 2 as it can do far more.

Nah. I need Shazam etc since I noticed all the other teams at the quiz I go to with a mate of mine using their watches surreptitiously to get the important end of quiz music bands/titles 60s to 80s we're fine after that....nothing) !!!

I will admit one of the most irritating responses is "Google is your friend" (meaning : I can help but won't)
Even so: Checking eBay (which is often cheaper than the Chinese sites) or the Chinese sales sites is generally what I do first regardless
This or Amazfit GTR.....

Can't link this watch with strava?

Can't link this watch with strava?

Not the normal GT so would imagine this doesn't either. Huawei Health app is OK but nowhere near as good as Strava
Yeah I have the band 3 and not being able to connect to strava is frustrating
Thanks to some of the comments on this thread I managed to get a GT original on ebay last night brand new for £91 - cheers! Lack of Strava no big deal for me.

Was gonna sell the one I got from P30 promotion, but I have seen tons on gumtree/fb marketplace for around 90 and let's face it when you list something for 90 majority will offer around a tenner (or maybe 50 if you're lucky), and it would be hard to clear around 80 for it. So decided to keep it for for myself, even though I so much don't need one

Yeah you get two notifications for everything. I had to get rid of it in the end. Plus the stuttering of the graphics on the GT whenever you swipe the screen to read anything was poor. I got rid of it and bought a Garmin, I'm on Android BTW.

Not had either of these problems and I'm on Android too. I have Huawei phone though, not sure if that makes a difference
Still not received my freebie with the P30 Pro. It looks a decent watch but the lack of integration with Strava is what killed it for me given that I've used strava for all running/cycling for the last 4 years.
Bought watch for £90 on ebay but its honestly the best watch I've ever had. I just got rid of fitbit ionic and used Samsung gear before that. Heat added as still a good price for this watch.
Great, a spy watch, like James Bond.
