When you say £10 can be used to unlock, is that thought the legitimate channels?
Will they do that for you upon purchase?

Yes its legit. I work for Tesco mobile, we top up the £10 on your phone and then ring customer services up to request an unlocking code from them, they charge £10 for this if within 12 months of purchase, so the free credit gets used instantly to unlock your phone with the unlocking code that gets sent to you via the temporary Tesco telephone number. The unlock is free for pay monthly customers or for anyone who has had the phone longer than 12months.
The £10 can be used anywhere though, standard payg (ask for the Lite tariff) or a rocket pack that gives you 3gb data, 500 mins and 5000 texts for 30 days, or apply it to a Tesco mobile contract phone to have it as an adhock £10 payment towards your next direct debit
All this can be done in store for you!

Shut up and take my money!

Hey @Mrswitch - looks a good deal. Sub £100 phone for daddy. It’s not too sluggish or useless is it? I don’t really know about these ‘midrange’ processors. That alacatel v3 in store looks alright too.

Assuming daddy doesn't use Google Pay (which I know he won't) then yes this would be the perfect phone for his needs, crap crap processor, but perfect for his needs methinks.

Fyi, these are also £99.95 in argos if you have any gift cards or whatever to use.

We've been having a lot of Alcatel v3's returned recently with issues. Could be a faulty batch, but thought I'd let you know what I know before you buy!

Do not know a lot about phones, but bought a Y6 earlier this year from John lewis, about £99 sim free and an extra year guarantee, works fine with google pay ,so do not know what Mrswitch is referring to with regards google pay, but i do think there are 2 models Y6 2017 and Y6 2018 and the specs are different, the phone i bought was a 2017 model.

There are 2 models for the y6 yes, but the first one came out in 2015 I think, so there's a big jump to the new one released this year! Hope JL didn't sell you the 2015 version for £99
As I said, my model was Y6 2017

An yes, sorry! Seems like the 2018 version is just an incremental upgrade, I can't see anything major that would require an instant buy if you had the older version!

The y6 2018 doesn't have NFC.

I assume this post is for the 2018 model?

Because if not, then this price ain't all that good if I'm honest.

Thanks but I think nfc in my dad’s usage refers to what geordies call “nee f**ckin chance”.

We will go for the y6 on the 30th I think. No fingerprint?

Hi, since you work for Tesco Mobile please can you help me make up my mind. I have been looking on Tesco Ebay for a PAYG mobile phone which can take decent photos/videos and not slowed down with useless apps. Would appreciate your advice. Thanks.

Check on there for all the info. The prices are fair, not the best, but not the worst. They are also more easy going than CeX for example, allow wear and tear, and they don't need the box or charger, just the phone.

No sign of 5e y6 deal at Tesco yet. I’ve been waiting patiently.
Been depending on this so if they don’t do it’s going to turn all of my plans upsidedown face!
Not in stock. Tesco scam.

Plenty of stock here and the correct price too! Sorry to hear your local doesn't have any in! But not a scam. Bit quick to get to scam there for stock issues in your store?
