Reaching 335 degrees at £28.95 this deal just got better and was just shared on their Facebook page today! Original post here m.hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…rue worth reading the comments as there's loads of discussion on it

I ended up buying one last time and despite having a few RC toys this is the one that's gets used the most by everyone in the family. Well worth it & highly recommended.

Could this carry a gopro?

I have a feeling this will go the same way as my RC helicopter; fly it round the living room for 5 minutes before smashing it into a wall.

Oh it really is mini! Ta!

This is a really good price. I paid £45 for mine when it first came out. Excellent fun, much smaller than I was expecting, it's like a little insect. I'd recommend buying the spares kit as well. While it is fairly robust for the size, it easily reaches speeds and heights enough to damage it. You can also put it in advanced mode easily, while flying, to do some really cool manoeuvres such as 360 flips

These are great - to be honest not used my in earnest for a while, but for that cost. . .great!

But can it carry the GoPro? No footage of it lifting that?

Buy 2. Spare motors and blades are £15 alone, broke one in a low speed crash. Def put motor protectors on (cut up bits of a capri sun straw), I put sticky velcro stuff under each leg to soften landing. Expert mode is mental, so I stick to moron mode. Flies ok in light wind, but hard in sunshine as its so small!

I fit a keyring camera but it does hamper performance somewhat. Max payload is 80-100g really. There is a version of this copter with a built in camera for £20 more, so I'd go for that if you really want one.

Like the man said, No!

The V2 improved version has a lot of good changes!

The V2 was only £25.99ish at Amazon the other day too, sold by A1toys and fulfilled by Amazon. I bought one & have to say, it's amazing!

Looks great
Is v2 worth the extra?
can anyone recommend a camera and a how to from this you tube?
Also link for with the one with camera please.
Thanks

I was only looking at these the other day! Great timing. Fancied one for a while, probably get bored of it fairly quickly though!

Looks like a good review for v2 highlighting what changed over v1:

A lot of RC people like this small camera (ONLY the 808 #16 v2 - this seller makes them - a lot of the rest of the 808's are rubbish).
ebay.co.uk/itm…580?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

See YouTube (search 808 #16 V2 and remember to set quality to 720p) - It's much lighter, it's cheap (£29), 720p quality is surprisingly good (its no GoPro) and it survives a knock.

Seller now has a full HD one called the Mobius, but its slightly bigger.

Oops, should have read the text a bit more - was just skimming.

What would be alternative models to this if I wanted a build in camera?

By far the BEST Quadcopter Gopro video test in low light.

youtube.com/wat…95k

I've had one for a few months now...nice little machines...not easy to fly as the Syma co-axial 3 channel because this quad is a 4 channel.
- It is smooth.
- Hovers well.
- Durable - if you 'land' upside down and the props are stiff, you just need to give it a squeeze with a clamp (or your jaw) to free it.
- Fun
- Loads of tips at rcgroups.com

These things are great!! I got around 100 flights out of mine before I killed it.

In the end I was abusing it a little too much, in one week I managed to push the boundaries a little too far with it:

I crashed it in to a house.
Got it caught up a tree! Eventually it fell from the tree and went straight into my pond! I ripped the battery out and stuck the copter under a hair dryer on low heat for about 45 minutes. It killed the battery but it flew just like new!

An insane amount of fun can be had from these. They can handle a surprising amount of wind also! Take it out! Stretch it's legs! It's great going up full throttle until it's a dot in the sky!

The X4 is too small to carry that camera properly, I tried. It would drop the flight time to about 1 minute, and wouldn't fly very well at all...

The better model with the LED lights looks good, but I am reluctant as I am guessing all of those flashing lights will ebb away at the battery. Maybe not much, but I would rather a little more battery life than flashy lights. Also it works out cheaper to go without the LEDs.

You can actually turn the LED lights off if you were to fly it during the day

What some people do is that they take the camera casing off and just strap the camera and internal electronic components to the bottom of the copter :P that gets rid of most of the weight issue

Tried that too, still too heavy. The 808 #16 cameras are heavier and bigger than other 808 models...
