AArrrgg typical I bought the £60 starter kit last week and another bulb , remote and motion sensor 2 days ago.........

But have some heat OP got another 2 bulbs for £22 so thats my flat sorted..........

Is the starter kit they are selling actually 3rd Gen richer colours? The images show the 2nd gen, with the silver body bulbs? If nobody know I'll take one for the team and report back haha

Also it says you get £10 voucher for spending over £100.

I've just bought the v1 hue set up with the 2 bulbs.
Are there any major differences between the v1 and v2?

I've ordered them, if they're not the richer colours, i'll refund them when i pick them up today @ lunch. will report back once i know...

I got an awesome deal on alza.co.uk just after Christmas. This still doesn't beat that but what an awesome deal nonetheless.

So tempted but I've just forked out hundreds on LightwaveRF products so that I wouldn't get the issue of someone turning the lights off at the switch and making the hue bulbs totally pointless.

Might still pick up a couple of B22s... anyone know if Hue bulbs work with LightwaveRF dimmers?

Might treat my parents to a starter kit. Not as good as its been on amazon before but £112 isn't a bad price.

Caved in - bought 2 sets of the GU10 twin pack which finally completes all the spot lights in my living room.

Had to C&C from 2 different branches miles apart though.

Completely different technology, LWRF can't control Hue bulbs.

So it was YOU who wiped them out! Fortunately, there's one 'near' work I can go and get on the way home.

SAME HERE. The kitchen is complete!!!!!!

Was waiting for a deal on the twin packs from anywhere, but didn't expect 25%!!!!! Wooooohooo! Thought maybe 2 twin packs for £80 (£20 a lamp!) but under £17 a lamp is (insane, I know) a "GREAT DEAL"!

Thanks OP!

"These are great. You can completely change the atmosphere of your room and really impress. Lots of fun trying the numerous apps available. These are the 3rd gen as well so richer colours. Definitely recommend"

The reviews suggest they are 3rd gen.... will update anyway once i've picked them up.

I got the GU10 bulbs for £13.50 each from Alza.co.uk - I thought it was a dodgy site so only ordered 4. When they came through eventually (10 days later) I went to order more and they put the price back up to £30+ per bulb! Still kicking myself but this price is close enough!

Now I can turn on the Hue Manic app and my little girls will love the full disco effect

How are the hue whites vs white and colour for general light, don't wanna spend loads if my regular lighting will suffer in terms of brightness etc

No white ambience bulbs?

are these def gen 3

There's a B&Q offer kicking around - 2 white bulbs and 2 dimmers for £50.

hotukdeals.com/dea…912

no stock anywhere

that's another £225 I will never see again
.. at least I can not see it in millions of colours

"Know what I mean 'Arrry ?!" PMSL!!

The good old mythical wardens of the Argos treasure, always around to help..... X)X)

These don't seem to be Gen 3; if you Google the EAN number (8718696461617) it comes up with what seems like an older version of these bulbs on the Philips site. If you then click 'similar products', the Gen 3 are a different listing
