Looks like a great price to me, 3 colour bulbs, hub and an Echo Dot for 90 quid.

Seems to only be for the B22 bulbs but I'm sure you can get adapters if they're not the right ones for your lights.

Delivery dates are pushed out a bit so might not arrive for Christmas but when I ordered it was the Echo Dot that was OOS not the lights.

Link is for Charcoal Echo Dot, links to other variants are here:

very good bundle
Good price this. I love my Hue's!
Decent starter kit. Have some heat.
Anyone using these ATM and would highly recommend or would I be better of getting normal bulbs and hooking them with smart switch?
Great pack, got mine (without the Dot) for £59 on black Friday. Love them
A great price - the white and colour B22 starter kit with only 2 bulbs was £90 the other day - so glad I waited!

only reason I wouldnt recommend them, is you'll eventually get addicted. I bought the starter kit about a year ago that came with 3 bulbs, I now have 16 various smart lights around my home, don't remember the last time I touched a light switch

Hue is quite expensive to install, but really flexible. I've just moved house and was able to take everything with me. Couldn't do that with wired ones! And it works with lamps or fixed lights.

Do I need to have some special kind of lamps or fittings or would they work in normal fittings?

No, it works with any lamp as long as it fits in, you just need to make sure it's switched on. You can still use it as a normal bulb as it defaults to a standard light when you manually switch it on and off
Ikea smart bulb are so much cheaper, better no but certainly cheaper.

Sorry by 'install' I just meant initial costs of the bulbs. You simply replace your old bulbs.

Hue are available for most common fittings: bayonet B22, screw E27, small screw candle E14, spotlight GU10, but some bulb shapes and fittings are not available. E.g r50 reflectors, G9 halogens.
