This is a decent deal, but prices were much better yesterday.

They had these 1 litre bottles of Muc-Off Dry Lube for £5.99, 1 litre bottles of Muc-Off C3 Wet Ceramic Lube for £8.99 and I litre bottles of Muc-Off C3 Dry Ceramic Lube for £10.99.

The deal was posted on the Bike Radar forum and people have received emails with confirmation of dispatch.

Delivery is £3.95 on orders of £50 or below. Needless to say most people (including me) end up spending extra to avoid paying for delivery. This is okay if you only buy stuff you'd have bought anyway, but obviously that's not always the case.

I've been suckered into Planet X sales before - I have various Muc-off stuff, random stems, grips, brake pads that I don't use or used once and changed or stocked up on to make up to the £50 free delivery.

Not saying it's not hot but the best deals are when it's a bargain including delivery.

One litre of lube, 100ml lasts me about 5 years, and have 4 bikes.

We have a bike in the village that has had many riders. By all accounts needs very little lubrication. Just the odd "pint" if you've not ridden it for a while , and it's good to go

I guess it depends on the approach you take.

Reading threads on the Bike Radar forum, some people lube the chain, jockey wheels and mech pivots every couple of hundred miles in the dry and after every ride in the wet. So they'd be getting through 120ml bottles pretty quickly and buying a litre at a time would make sense if the price is low enough.

Planet X and Sale in the same sentence. Ha!

To be fair, you could get a litre of branded lube delivered for under £10 yesterday. Given that this represents a lifetime's supply for some people, I think it's okay to call it a sale.
