Great price for a lovely watch.

Similar watch but different colour cheaper on Amazon?

Ordered for all the family hope TCB tracks lovely looking face really like it! Deal is a Deal & HEAT added
Seems an OK price if you are after one of these. I'm not an expert, but it looks like they sell for £2.5k to £3k in used mint condition. So £7600 looks rather very inflated.

Not sure where you've seem them at that price?.. but seems a pretty good deal to me chrono24.co.uk/ome…htm
As above, RRP is inflated. For £7,200 - you're in JLC territory. Although at £3,600 is competitively priced for something that rarely discounts. Heat

That's no where near the same watch i'm afraid. It's not GMT for a start, also a very old model and the closed back indicates a quartz movement.

Searching Aqua Terra is like search Audi A3 and expecting them all to be the same price. This is a high end Auqa Terra GMT, with a nice automatic movement and open back. In order to compare you need to find the same type at least, I have an Aqua Terra GMT from 7/8 years ago and it's still worth more than this is selling for new.

Nahh That's the "hardworking" bracket the other fella was on about.
Cracking deal, I’m not sure about the original price but £3600 is good, very good. Heat added
Seems like a reasonable deal if you're after one.

I do love my the Omegas I have, they're so so much better than my Tag Heuers. This is the time of year to buy, decent discounts in the sales can be had if you're quick.
That's a beautiful looking watch.

They've still worked hard to pay for it regardless of how its paid for surely.
If you're after one and can afford the 0% finance repayments no problem then who in the right mind would tie up 3600 in a watch? If you have 3600 cash for a watch you would be looking at getting a deal on a better Omega or starting off at the bottom of the rolex ladder.

Do you have lots of extra arms to wear them on as well?
I do like the fact OP put buy this watch for £3600 if your a bit sutck for cash over christmas instead of £7200... if you got £3600 for a watch you haven't got money issues over Christmas. I drive a £500 206 and worked since i was 16 and worked full time for the last 10 years before anyone speaks about hard work... That rant aside, if you have the money and it is right price in the market then go for it
For anyone wanting a watch, I wouldn't buy a new Omega or any other high end watch. Not until the economy recover a bit and the new prices come down a little.

I totally agree, research and buy 2nd hand from reputable dealers. Cash sales will get you far in the 2nd hand market.
Chances are your watch will be worth what you paid too.
I've a Tag Calibre 5 day date and I could get what I paid back no problem. Buy it rrp and as soon as you walk out the shop youve lost half its value.
Nice deal. Heat.

I don't even think I'd buy second hand at the moment. When we had the Brexit votes, the prices went up by a £1000 - £2000 for watches like this, which intern increased the prices for used watches.

This is great for me, I had a 60% pay cut last year due to the problems in the Oil and Gas sector. So I originally had around a 35 watch collection, which I've been selling off to help out. Breitlings, Omega's, Tags, Oris and Raymond Weil's. So the high second hand prices has been good timing for me. Some of the Seamasters and Speedmasters selling for the/or above the original new price years ago.

Your sales will probably benefit from the fall in value of the pound after the referendum result, I'd have thought, as there is an international market for these sorts of watches. A local jeweller was reporting a massive boom in his business after the referendum, as his stock suddenly became cheaper in the US and China. I imagine when he went to buy new stock though, he was less happy.

Your right, thats the reason for the price hike in the UK. unfortunately the shops jumped on the higher prices, even if they had stock which had been bought before the raise. However some retailers are on a sail or return type deal with the manufactures. So the manufacture sets the price.

Why do you prefer the Omega to the Tag? I'm shortlisted and ended up with a Tag and Omega to choose between

Hi,

It is a niche deal, meaning it would appeal to a few people.

I understand not many people would want or could justify buying such an expensive, luxury item. There are people out there who would want this though - hence posting it.

Have a lovely Christmas and New Year

£500 206! Lucky git!

Seriously, my car was cheaper. I'd rather have a nice watch than a nice car. A £5k car is worth nothing in 10 years. A £5k Rolex is worth considerably more than the car.
