Seems like a decent price to me for a brand new item...Argos are selling the 320GB version at £3 more!

Possible £7.94 back from Quidco...

(Same price at Amazon, but no QuidCo)

Excellent make and a good price, but personally I'd suggest Richer Sounds as they do it for £249.64 + £6.99 P&P with a 5-year guarantee (well worth having with hard drive based products I'd say).

Richer Sounds will also beat web prices

Only if the RS price is currently higher than the web price PLUS Next Day p&p...

"We will happily Price Beat against both high street shops and other web retailers (must include next day P&P if the retailer does not have a shop and products can’t be collected) as long as we can verify stocks."

How do you get it for £129. It says £199 online Here
most stores still have it at £299, but it will scan at £129. There are also £5 off vouchers if you spend over £50 on electricals. It's the HDR5010

In my experience you should be. Freeview reception can never be as good as Freesat. Even with the best Aerial installation you can get daily glitches in Freeview recordings. With Freesat the only issues are heavy downpours!

I'd like to know more about the catch up services - I understand it's iPlayer compatible, does that mean it'll work with all the major providers 'on demand' services?

The user guide doesn't make any reference to these functions?

I've got one of these and you can get iplayer and itv on demand through the Ethernet
Thanks for the info...

Am I correct in thinking that only services added by Humax are available?

So for example channel 5 on demand is not currently active?

Many thanks for your help!
I recently bought the older 320GB version of this box from PCWorld for £129.97. It was probably a one off, as it was a clearance product (which is why I didn't list it here). Anyway, just in case it helps anyone...
£222.99 from Here

Keep an eye? its already alot cheaper. Its £249.99 minus 15% comes to £212.49 and cashback would bring it in under £200. You should post it as a deal
Edit Oh its out of stock, i see what u meant now

Agree, seen it in my local at £129. Looks a nice bit of kit as well for the money. I have the humax and BBCiplayer is working along with ITVplayer, also with the media software available you can archive recordings onto your networked pc and burn to disk. No hd playback though as yet due to encryption.
