Good deal. Heat added. If you want the Wi-Fi version with 1TB, check out this deal wifi deal

Heat. I've also had one for over a year and they are a great piece of kit

These Freesat recorders are truly excellent. You don't really need Sky, Virgin, BT etc if you've got one of these.

Or refurbished for £50 less humaxdirect.co.uk/ref…tml

Never had any real concerns with the unit apart from the stupid firmware they released the other month which actually broke functionality of the unit crippled several third party edimax wifi sticks, recording problems etc....they sorted it out with the latest firmware and although did not have to, re-enabled support, so kudos for Humax there

That is an absolute steal of a price for a 1TB with integral wifi. With only 9 in stock I would advise anyone not to think twice.

Can this pause, record, and rewind live Freeview too? Or will the Freesat be enough? When I tried Freesat before (connecting the Sat cable to my TV) the TV guide was all over the place.

Just moved over from sky, the channel menus taken a bit of getting used but it's clear and is a great bit of kit!

Yes we have the 1tb one without wifi. Great piece of kit. Plays literally anything via DLNA too.

oh **** this site too popular....it had six left....talked about it with the son...and they gone....grrrrrr

Rarely happens but tonight I was in the right place at the right time!! Thanks OP!!!

So , who offers the better TV experience

Freeview or Freesat ???

Have you got one? I have this exact unit and find it sluggish through the cheap looking menus. I wouldn't recommend....

Had an excellent review 3 years ago at £299 for 500 gb's model should imagine having a Fox hdr that Humax would have improved on this with firmware updates.

Same haha, I was doing some research, thought if I added it to the cart it would have been "reserved".

Anyway I signed up for an alert when it's back in stock. Then I received an email for today only 10% off, code HUMAXBD1if anyone wants to use it.

I have the 1TB wifi-less model. It's a great bit of kit. You can connect it to your internet router/firewall, and there's a FreeSat app for Android which in theory allows you to set the timer on the set top box; in practise I find it doesn't work reliably.

From what I understand freeview is for from an aerial and freesat if signal off a satellite dish. Don't know if any do both. Been looking at the DTR models myself, sound better than the HDR? Can't remember what the difference is though, there's even a dtr-t6000 for hi-res recording of sport.

Is it still the case that the HD recordings can not be transferred to Windows for editing?

Good post OP. Unfortunately £22 pounds for postage to Northern Ireland. I could but a new one for that much extra. So fed up with companies using overpriced couriers for Northern Ireland when Parcelforce will deliver here for buttons.
