So i've been hearing too, Freesat has all the Freeview Channels + 'extras' right?.
And these Humax Boxes are meant to be more then decent too ..... (from what i've been hearing?). :-)
Yes more channels, but Dave is missing on freesat.
I disagree, Freesat has more channels, but Freeview has far better channels, I have both built in to my TV, I hardly ever watch Freesat.
No, Freesat does not have all of the Freeview Channels.
I wish it did.
I agree with adam above. The few disadvantages are there is no RF out, so if you're using the magic eye to watch sky in another room, you can't, unless you buy more equipment.
The on demand only goes back 7 days, it goes back further on sky. And finally on demand is streamed, not downloaded onto the hard drive like sky. Not a problem unless you have very slow broadband. Except for this, everything else is as good, if not better IMHO.
Assuming they had sky plus or HD, they should have a dual LNB. If that's the case it should be a simple swap over.
When cancelling Sky your box still works with card in it...but can only watch Freesat channels...you can ask Sky for the £10 Freesat which allows you then to use box as normal, ie recording, series record etc..but with Freesat channels.. hope that helps
I ditched sky a year ago and got one of theses refurbished for £65,has been great whathifi.com/dig…iew
And Quest and Quest+1 and Yesterday... as well as Drama and Really.
you tube and movie tube through this Humax box? Or would I need a Google chromcasr?
I have just cancelled my sky subscription this morning and am looking at purchasing one of these!
Just buy a freesat box I'm using Humax. Unplug Sky, plug in the freesat box, put in your postcode and off you go!
