Humax HDR-1100S 1TB Freesat Smart TV Recorder - Black
Normally around £210.
Plenty of info about this Freesat recorder online.

These are available in store only.
There are a limited number, use the "Find this in your local store" option on the Maplin website to see which stores have the item in stock.
If its a bit of a hike to get there, then ring first, one store I rang that should have had one in stock said it was an empty box (Hmmm - Perry Barr).

There is also the 500gb version at £139.99. I bought this version as it was in my local Maplin and the nearest store with the 1TB version was too far away.
Quite a few of the 1TB version in London (Stratford has 4).
Humax say they will honour the 2 year warranty for Maplin bought recorders...Just register online at Humax within 30 days of purchase.

Big thanks OP.

We bought one of the very first Humax Freesat Recorder boxes when the very first came out (Dec 2008??). Ten years (and several new remotes) later it's still going strong but I'm increasingly aware that sooner or later it's going to conk out on us and I've been looking for another one, at a decent price, for ages.

We were in the pub when I read your post. I couldn't find the 1TB version close to me but Maplin in Basingstoke had one 500GB version in stock. So off we trot and yes, they do indeed have one last one on the shelf for £139.99. However the sign says £139.99 for the 1TB version which was incorrect, so they give my an extra 10% off. Bargain!! They said this was because it was an 'open box' item but it looks pristine to my eyes!
Got one of these recently and it is very slick. The only caveat is that the DNS settings seem to be locked down and I can't get the box to connect to a VPN for US Netflix...
It's easy to upgrade these to an AV 2Tb drive... Seagate video drives or Western Digital drives are the best
Yeah...I was a bit sad that my local Mapins only had the 500GB version...but consoled myself that I can fit a 2TB HDD sometime down the line.
Been using mine a couple of days and so far so good, registered for the 2 year warranty online no problem.
