The price is £99 plus £7 delivery. Still a very good price.
I've been waiting a good while for these now. This is a great little deal that had been out of stock for a long time. I love Freesat and it will work with your sky dish. To record two channels at same time you want to have a minimum twin lnb from your dish. The award winning freetime guide gives you 7-day catch-up tv and direct access to netflix, youtube etc (makes a tv into a semi-smart tv!).
The HDR-1000S 1TB is £146 delivered and is here: humaxdirect.co.uk/ref…tml

They all come with a 1 year guarantee and most people who have bought from Humaxdirect in previous deals usually say they arrive like new.

"This smart Humax recorder gives you everything you need to be in control of your TV viewing. With Freetime, the super-smart, award-winning TV Guide from Freesat, you can use the Roll Back TV Guide across 26 channels, to watch shows you've missed from the last seven days. Enjoy a broad range of Catch Up TV with BBC iPlayer, ITV player*, All 4, Demand 5 and YouTube. Plus Showcase recommends top TV picks of cool stuff to watch, chosen daily by Freesat's Editorial team. Choose from over 200 Channels including sport, news, movies, kids, music and entertainment; with eleven in picture perfect High Definition. Plus, you can Pause, Rewind and Record your favourite programmes at the touch of a button. You can also use the clever little App from Freesat, to plan and control your TV viewing at the swipe of a finger, when you're at home or out and about. *ITV Player available in England, Wales and the Channel Islands."

Any discount codes about
Hot! I paid £132 for this 5 months ago, money well spent. My only niggle is the noise the hard drive makes during the night as I have this set up in the bedroom.
Can't see any discount codes around.

Edit: My bad, misread the title. I Paid £132 for the 1TB 1010s model. Still not a bad deal.

After we went back to sky I really missed the 2 mins instant fast forward button
Great deal , many thanks.
Use code HUMAXBD1 to get 10% off.

Postage is high at £7.99 if I remember rightly, but the voucher sort of negates that.

I think with the voucher it's around £132.

Reviews are fantastic.

Only reason I'm not biting is that I got a £100 Amazon voucher and £120 Cashback from sky so the year subscription only costs about £20!

Yes, the postage is high at £7 and thanks for the code - I have edited the title to suit. boy, do I wish I hadn't bought mine earlier now!

Yes, the postage is high at £7

Keep in mind that Humax Direct is not a large operation so they can't negotiate for large discounts. £7 for a medium size and weight parcel is not high in the sort of volumes they are doing.
Will a digi eye thing work on this unit?
Whats the quality of their refurbs like?
Postage to an Aberdeenshire postcode is £21.54! That's ridiculous.
I sold one of these on eBay for £128 quid with a 2TB drive in it - I should have asked for more
This always happens to me... I got mine last week. Problem for me is it's always last week.oO
Heat!

I've been thinking of ditching our Sky sub and getting one of these but think the kids would miss their channels.

Ordered a freeview one for my mother at Christmas, unit was in perfect condition that I could see. All the cables and accessories appeared to be sealed and new. Only indication it was a refurb was the plain box. Your mileage may very though!

Unit itself is great. Much better than the Sagem it replaced. Has a nice prompt to switch to the HD variant of a channel too, something I've not yet seen on my Sky box.
good find op, heat added

Only way around this was to get it delivered to a DPD Pick up point nearer to Aberdeen. It's a next day service costing £7 to there, but a 2 day service costing £21.54 to my address which is only 18 miles away!
Many thanks to the original poster though :-)
Can't praise this box enough. We ditched Sky 2 years ago and bought the white version of this. We don't miss Sky at all. Looks smart and the TV guide is perfect for our needs.

Hot from me.

anyone know why these boxes have hard drive activity even when in standby ?
the noise is annoying in the bedroom .

Got one of these a few months ago. Absolutely love it. brill price. Thanks for posting

I think it's to do with remote record on the mobile app.

Thanks OP, been waiting for this to come back around. Cheers.
Warning I year warranty they charge 150 on a repair . Richer sounds do 6 year warranty for under 20 quid . I had a box go on me . All hardrives blow
Thanks paid £67 delivered for a Youview box that was on offer too. Fantastic for recording and 7 day catch up too!
Got the 1010s. Many thanks.
Tempted....

Will a digi eye thing work on this unit?

No, it won't as there's no RF output. I have one of these and ended up having to get a Marmitek PowerMid XL infrared extender set from Amazon, which works well as a replacement.

This is a great price and hot from me. I've got the humax box but without the hard drive so I'm going to upgrade. The only downside to the box I have is the lack of program reminder function that sky has. Does anyone know if this box has that?
Great post
Nice one OP, just in time with my sky deal expiring. Can't wait to get rid of their tiresome "deals"

I tried and failed so either it doesn't or I was doing something wrong.
Will this just replace my sky box ??
Anyway to get bt sport through this ? Legally.

you can set them to sleep more deeply, but then they don't check in with the Freetime service so you can't remotely admin the box to set recordings using the FreeSat smartphone app.
In practise the app doesn't work for me.

on my Humax remote there's a fast forward and a step forward button, and equivalent reverse and back buttons. You can change how big a jump to make, so I have 1 minute forward and 15 seconds back, which is quite effective for skipping adverts.
