Humble Bundle's August 2018 monthly bundle has just been revealed, which also prompts the announcement of the headline games for September 2018.

Subscribe now (or pay early, for existing subscribers) for instant receipt of a Steam key for Sniper Elite 4, Tales of Berseria, and Staxel. When the full bundle is revealed at the start of September, you'll receive a further seven games (most/all of which should come with Steam keys).

The base price for the bundle is $12.00, which currently works out at about £9.22 (note that if you pay by PayPal, their currency exchange fees will increase this slightly). For new subscribers, if you've recently purchased one of the weekly bundles, you should be eligible for a 10% discount on the first month.

As an alternative, you can choose to get Rise of the Tomb Raider instead of Sniper Elite 4, Tales of Berseria, and Staxel.

August's complete bundle:

A Hat in Time
The Escapists 2
Conan Exiles
The Surge
Sudden Strike 4
Kona
Forged Battalion
Pathologic Classic HD
Woten (DRM-free download)
Worth it for Sniper Elite 4 on its own. Really enjoyed it.

Sniper Elite 4 and Tales Of Berseria justify it for me already, anything else is a bonus.

sniper elite 4 is really good
How does this work, says tomb raider in site
Can swap all 3 games for Rise of the Tomb Raider if you are so inclined
So if I subscribe now I only get these 3 games and not the August humble bundle correct?
Didnt realise sudden strike 4 was in there

This month only! After checkout, you can choose Rise of the Tomb Raider instead of Sniper Elite 4, Tales of Berseria, and Staxel.

Correct, the remaining games unlock at the end of august/start of September. You can pay now, immediately cancel subscription and still get the remaining games at months end.
So glad I froze for August. Tales will keep me going for a while, looks like a decent month!
The Surge was an unexpected bonus and with that and Hat in Time wishlisted it was a pretty great deal.
Sniper Elite 4, wow I am in!

I thought this was the best month we've had in a while - I was sold on the early unlock just for The Escapists 2 (wasn't too bothered about Conan and Hat in Time looks good but maybe not for me) but there are three huge titles from my wishlist in the unlocked games - The Surge, Sudden Strike 4 and Forged Battalion. I guess it helps if you're a RTS fan.

For those who aren't aware - Forged Battalion is the latest game from Petroglyph Games, who have made other great RTS games like 8-Bit Armies/Hordes/Invaders, Grey Goo and Star Wars: Empire at War, but they go back even further than that as they were founded by ex-Westwood Studio members who worked on the original Command & Conquer games. The 8-Bit games played a lot like the first C&C (and the soundtrack by veteran C&C composer Frank Klepacki really helped it feel like a classic RTS) and Forged Battalion looks like a great evolution of that cartoony art style but brought up to date with bits of original C&C, Tiberian Sun and Generals mixed in. It's in Early Access but still totally playable and reviews are strong. I almost bought it the other day because it was on sale at GMG but now I'm glad I didn't because it turns out I'd already bought it in this bundle!

Now for next month - I already have Sniper Elite 4 and Tales of Berseria but I'd like to try Staxel and hopefully there will be some more good surprises in the unlocks in September.
I don't get this mystery game stuff. If they advertised all the games from the beginning they would get so many more punters. Would have gone for it if I had known Sudden Strike 4 was involved....
Guess Rise of The Tomb Raider is vanilla and not the edition with DLCs?

Fun to those who subscribed to that month, annoying for those who didn't, Isn't it a win win situation for all if they announced the suite of games to begin with? Probably something to do with financial agreements or similar...

I know what you're saying. I've been burned once or twice but it's just so cheap i can't complain too much if I'm subscribed and didn't like the additions.
Already had Tales of Berseria, ROTTR already completed on Xbox One 2 years ago, but still okay
Same, if they advertised sudden strike 4 I'd have signed up.
Is it to late to get the hat in time bundle?

Hi can you please clarify. The person said I will ONLY get these three games. You suggest you get others too.

I was going to buy sniper elite 4 anyhow.

So can I buy now and then just cancel subscription and decide next month if I want to buy again?

I preaume there must be some reason for you to stay subscribed?

Being ruthless in the analysis - there will be times when the complete bundle doesn't appeal to certain people; if they were aware of that in advance they might unsubscribe.

Personally, I like Humble's approach (if anything, I'd prefer them to go back to just one early reveal/unlock) and I'm yet to be disappointed after getting on for two years of being a subscriber.

You get everything in the bundle - both the early reveals and the complete reveal - whether you remain subbed or not. You've essentially bought the lot when you sub. You receive the keys at the same time as everyone else so check back when it rolls over. Cancelling loses you the 10% shop discount (Humble also send out the odd DLC voucher for the bundled titles, not sure if that is for subscribers only)

You forgot about the Humble Trove too, access to more games to keep. I believe its a great deal each month, cannot see how to go wrong. You can always sell on keys or trade.

You'll get those 3 games. Plus probs 4 others on the first Friday of September. Pay now, get keys for Sniper Elite etc, cancel subscription and then receive remaining 4 or so keys in Sept. Then Check out next month and see if you like the offering

While it varies a little, it's usually nine games in total - one of which is non-Steam, as the Humble Original.
Apparently you can change sniper elite for rise of the tomb raider

You either get Tomb Raider or the other 3, TR replaces all 3 games not just Sniper Elite
Tough choice tbh ROTTR is awesome so must be better on PC but the same goes for Sniper but with Sniper you get more games...

Conversely when all games are shown and are not consistently great you wont buy so they get less sales ....

Potentially yes, but probably to a lesser extent - the 'fear of missing out' can be a powerful factor, and that aside, it's very rare (if ever, tbh) that we see a monthly bundle that's not excellent value on the whole.
Edited by: "Illusionary" 4th Aug
I'm tempted but every sniper elite game since V2 has just been cookie cuttered.

Have some best though.
excellent value is subjective you should see some of the moaning of turd humble bundles on gaming forums. I think loss avoidance is the only reason for the mystery but one or two "lesser bundles" made them start revealing more games.
