Humble Bundle's full August 2019 monthly bundle has just been revealed, which also prompts the announcement of the headline games for May.

Subscribe now (or pay early, for existing subscribers) for instant receipt of a Steam key for Slay the Spire and Squad. When the full bundle is revealed at the start of September, you'll receive around a further sixgames (the number can vary slightly), most/all of which should come with Steam keys.

The base price for the bundle is $12.00, which currently works out at about £9.89 (note that if you pay by PayPal, their currency exchange fees will increase this slightly). For new subscribers, if you've recently purchased one of the weekly bundles, you should be eligible for a 10% discount on the first month.

I can't say because I'm not subbed but Slay the Spire is flipping amazing and I'd be happy if I didn't already own it.

I’ll check it out before being too hasty to pause this month!

Saying they are “getting progressively worse” without even doing some research on the games?

Slay the spire is great I’ve got 20+ hours on it so far and I’ve been wanting to try Squad for awhile now. Just need to find a real life squad to enjoy it properly!

It may not be for you but I had a spell a few weeks ago of going on to '1' run and would end up playing for like 3 hours!

Calm down, fella. I know it’s a rogue-like and that’s not my thing, so yes, for me they’re getting progressively worse. ¯\_(ツ_/¯

I was going to pick up Slay the Spire over the weekend - happy to have it in next months bundle instead!

As it happens I am just downloading Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Surviving Mars from August's bundle - I would have to say that getting those 2 games in August is cracking value
Third month in a row I've paused - and by the looks of the other games in those months not missed much. Only one I would have grumbled at missing was Yoku from last month, but got that on Switch anyway.

Come on Shadow of the Tomb Raider lol, one of these months now!
Poor selection, Slay the Spire has been around a while and is already on Xbox Ultimate Gaming Pass which many people will have milked the $1 deal for recently. However it's probably one of those months where one of the hidden titles will be better than the revealed ones.

+1, Slay the Spire is incredible. You can get so much out of this game.
Just realised that as Slay the Spire is available via Game Pass I can download and play on my pc now! Might have to pause next month
I regret getting last month's but fair play, a cracker this month. Cheers op
They just put Xbox Game Pass for PC games on this now.

These are games that have seen a big downturn in sales because they're either niche, old, multiplayer base is dying and/or laden with DLC.

August's month was good if you wanted either headliner but I've started to be more stringent when it comes to these games now. Gonna pass on September just because I have no interest in either game but can appreciate it appeals to some people. For the cost, it's good value but I end up not playing anything (too many games) then some time down the line they show up in a Humble BTA bundle or PS+ so no real pressure to buy anything (oh and there's Game Pass now too).

Can't please everybody. Also, last month one of the hidden games was Rising Storm 2 Vietnam which is hands down one of the best online shooters atm.

I think by the time November rolls round and my yearly sub ends, I'll hve had my money's worth (given the discount). Certainly won't be resubbing though.
Have no idea what Humble is, but it looks like they stole their logo off Santander Bank.
I've subscribed since the monthly bundle started and have just unsubscribed for the first time.

I do think that the content of the bundle as a whole has dropped in the last year, from my taste at least. I used to add around 50-75% of the games, now I'm lucky if I add 1 or 2.

I'll caveat this by saying I love Slay the Spire and have a good few hundred hours on it, but I think most people who would like it probably grabbed it in early access. For me it's not just the quality of game that's dropping, it's the fact that they no longer seem to have many that I'd be thinking "ah yeah, that looked good but I never got round to buying it".

There was a time a year or so ago I'd find at least 1-2 games in the bundle that had been on my wishlist for a while. Now that's really rare. Last one was Mutant Year Zero I think.

Humble Monthly is just a flawed concept, who on earth would even have time to play that number of games? Quality rather than quantity for me every time.

Well, you don't necessarily have to complete all of them. A larger selection also means that there's room for a few games that you don't enjoy without impacting too much on the overall value proposition. In many cases the $12 monthly price is justifiable just by the headline games, but what's wrong with getting more for no additional cost?

What would you say of, for example, Xbox GamePass, which has a library well into triple figures?
God damn it, just bought squad at the free weekend for £16.50, and they pull this the week after? Extremely dick move.
I thought it as a santander offer
Cancelled mine a couple of days ago, some games are nice but there's a lot of shovelware to deal with in the end. I already have 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate, plus the occasional free Epic game so these will do for now.
I'm interested on STS only, anyone wants to trade?

Its only going to get worse as more titles move away from steam.
