Great price, Vegas Pro 14 Edit gives you a lot of features for a stupidly low price, I have Vegas Home and then got this and use this now. the Xara webpage editor is quite good too, if you're the sort to make your own site without using wordpress and such like.

It's also the cheapest way to get an upgrade to Vegas 15 Pro Edit , currently that sells for £225 (sometimes cheaper with a code) - but for £15 you get v14 then you can then legitimately upgrade for £109 via this page

If I wasn’t so single minded with premiere pro I’d be all over this - heat
Going for the $1 tier. If I don't have time to play all the games I buy, I don't have time to work out what I would do with Vegas Pro 14!

Obviously if you'd ever think about using it, its amazing value, so heat anyways
I use hitfilm express to edit YouTube videos... How does this compare? I only need transitions and video/audio layers mainly.
Yeah I have wondershares Filmora, how does this compare? Mainly after cinematic effects
Tempted.... I currently use premier elements but tempted purely by the price of this

Missed this the last time. Not missing it this time

Would Vega Pro be any use for editing recorded DVB-T stuff (.ts files) and converting them to mkv? Currently I'm using a pirated version of VideoRedo and it's old and buggy (and immoral!).
Sold
Wasn't there a recent music bundle from Magix? Someone said that the installer was full of all sorts of nonsense and was almost impossible to get off your system. That made me refund it.
Got this for my daughter last time just before Xmas and paid £19.. she has used it every single day.
This is a great price for Vegas Pro 14. Highly recomended.

I'm not sure if it renders out as .mkv but it's probably one of the options, should be able to check on google. I used to edit .M2TS files from the HD PVR onto Vegas 9, 10, 11 so .ts files on Vegas Pro 14 Edit should be fine. Rendering them out as .mkv may be tricky but there's also .mp4 etc. Can't you do .ts to .mkv using HandBrake?
I definitely don't want to miss this again. My PC broke over December / January and missed out on the last one, I didn't buy it as my main system was out of use. I ended up buying older versions of Vegas second-hand for more this this cost. 100% worth it just for this!
If anybody wants a good industry standard editing solution for free, download DaVinci Resolver.
Is it worth spending the extra for Vegas 15?

I've got two freeview recorders, a talktalk 320gb and a a humax DTR 1010. I'm planning on replacing them with a single two tb model. Would this software be useful for getting the programs off the pvr's maybe to the newer box or at least on to a hard drive or pc in order to watch the programs?

Not for me, all programs are downloaded individually. You install only what you want.

On my old Humax, files were in .TS format and could simple be copied to another hard disk. They didn't have sensible names just date/time codes. If all you want to do is watch them VLC will do that. If you want to trim (top and tail), see comment above that suggests Handbrake.

Sounds good, but I'm trying with a second credit card now - seems to be stuck in a 'need to verify your details' state, despite having had a code sent to my phone... :-(

I looked at the new features and decided for me it wasn't worth bothering... it supposedly renders more quickly with certain hardware but for my limited editing it does what I need.
For the Magix Music Maker fans it's worth getting tier 1 simply to access some extra soundpools!

There was some extra hidden "software" that I accidentally installed and I think that's a lesson to pay attention when your going through the install process.

However, I've tried to get the Magix MP3 software to work on two different Win10 builds and it keeps crashing. Also the installer for the 1 dollar software on this package doesn't seem to work either.

Perhaps it's me or perhaps it's Win10?? Hopefully shouldn't be an issue for the 'proper' software though.
I found out a bit too late, but if you get the 80s Edition loops, it looks like you can redeem the bundles with one of your credits. This may effectively get you more loops than buying each individually.

You probably want to use handbrake for that, it's designed for transcoding only so it'll be a bit faster so long as you don't need to edit the video. Alternatively you can use ffmpeg with a command like: "ffmpeg -i myvideo.ts -c:v copy -c:a copy myvideo.mkv" if you literally only need to change containers without changing the encoding.

Yes - this is true!
Can anyone please tell me how 14 Edit compare to 13 Platinum?
I'm curious how much better vegas pro is to DaVinci Resolve.
Very cool bunch of quality software at a ridiculously low price.
Wow, great spot, thanks op!
Do you get a back up copy? Is a back up possible to make?

You only get download links and not a disc, you must create an account and register the software with Magix then you can always re-download the software later. All mine are on my Magix account. I'd always suggest making a copy of the installation files on your own drive/discs so you've got a copy should they no longer be available to download.

Ah so if my computer broke or I got a new one, I can log into my account and re download Sony Vegas?
Is the software on here legit? And safe? Never used before
