OK, so they do this once a year, and yes it's just to drive new business to their site BUT that being said some of the courses on Udemy are fantastic and shouldn't be snubbed at. I've taken a dozen and learnt loads.

Here are some really high rated course now down to only 10 quid. Some down from £200 :

Complete Java Course - 122,000 students enrolled
Become a Super Learner - 43,000 students enrolled
Pianoforall! - 78,000 students enrolled
How to draw sexy women - 4,000 students
Learn Blender - 50,000 student enrolled
Learn Photography - 150,000 students enrolled

You get the idea.

Not really a deal as they reduce most courses to less than £10 several times a month
I just want to learn how to draw a sexy vase.

Even cheaper if you buy in dollars.. can still pay with uk PayPal account.
Is there a time limit of when you can take a course after purchase?
No. Unlimited time to use it. They do it more than every year. Every 2-3 month. Some good courses on there
"How to draw sexy women" 4000 students........
I guess the "How to draw a bowl of fruit", wouldn't be such an attractive course then?........

This is true. They tend to be on for £10 (or £12 or £15) more often than they're on for their "regular" price - but since £10 is cheaper than £15 I'd say it's a deal.

It's also worth downloading the Udemy app and checking prices on there. Often you can buy the same £10 course for £8.99 !

Do watch the free preview videos before purchasing a course to get a sense of the instructor's style and whether it suits your own. Some of the courses on Udemy are excellent; others are not.
NUS CARD ?

There's always discount codes to get courses down to a tenner.. this has been going on for years! Sorry, cold, as not a deal as this is a regular promotion for Udemy.

Lots of discounts here to make the courses free - retailmenot.com/vie…099
Great deal.
Maybe people should take finance courses and learn that games consoles aren't a good idea...

Can I use this to get Amazon student?

I think what the poster is attempting to say is if more people studied rather than play games all day, their lives would be enriched. Unforutnately it doesn't seem that the poster follows his own words and may find it worthwhile to take a grammer test..

It happens once a month.

Also as someone else has mentioned, you can always find codes to get £5 off £15 courses.

Also, 15% TCB is permanent.

Grammar.

Don't worry... I too have faced this exact same ridicule.
I've bought about 3 courses so far and not completed any of them! I've completed a handful of the smaller free ones though!

Wow, that's an old TV show.. had to Google it to see what it was! Wasn't even born when it was first aired.
I did the domino Chinese courses a while back and found them a bargain at this price (probably cheaper at the time). Totally changed my opinion on my ability to learn languages and even the free sample course taught a lot.

There is a lot of good stuff on Udemy, I do feel they devalue their own products with these deals though and are far too frequent so I can't imagine anyone ever really paying full price for something as they will just wait for the next sale.
With Udemy it's a case of finding the gems amongst the dross. Some 'instructors' go way above and beyond in terms of value whereas others are clearly chancers, barely comprehensible or provide zero support. Always worth not just relying on previews/reviews and doing some cross-referencing on names, experience etc via Google.

Have you ever heard of laptops? Also weird that you jump straight to portability; I suspect that's pretty low on most people's lists of gaming requirements.

Also your statement about gaming PCs getting outdated too fast? Are you kidding? The PS4 and Xbox One were outdated from launch. Someone with a 4 year old gaming PC can still play AAA games on good settings. Not to mention that gaming PCs can be updated when you have the money to upgrade them, whereas with consoles you're forced to buy a new one whenever Sony tells you to.

I mean't gaming laptops, if you don't want a desktop pc, because you like moving around the house, going to work with it, going travelling, you have to get a laptop, gaming laptops cost 800-1400£ for one to play games similar to a ps4, they are heavy, charger heavy, last 4 hours on a charge, and in 4 years time the current title will be piss poor on it, so you would need to sell it and get a new one just like a ps4

I mean't

Good grief, that's a spelling you don't see every day. Maybe you should spend less time arguing about gaming platforms...

I don't get the point in this comment
1 I have 2 flamedeers
2. I don't understand a word that you are talking about when you talk about consoles etc.
3. Do these courses actually lead to any qualifications or are they more for leisure ?

You get a certified digital certificate which you can link to on your Linkedin profile. Depends on the employer but as long as you can demonstrate your abilities along with the certification then yes, it counts as a qualification.
