Why did my eyes drift to "Analysing Skid Marks" ?

I've fallen at the first hurdle; can't be bothered to read the list of courses.
Maybe university isn't for me

Why can't some people take a free university course so as to further their education and potentially make an honest living with it, rather then visiting the dole office and looking to save a few bob when going to cinema!?

The OU have an arrangment with Google which allows students to sign up for a free Google Apps for Education account which will get you a personal email address ending in @my.open.ac.uk. Full details of how to sign up for an Open Univeristy Google account can be found in your OU email address.

Erm, I think that is part of forensic science. Police and insurance companies regularly need people with such expertise to find who's at blame when there's an accident?

I can't get the ac account any ideas how

So what is the catch? will it be a credible certificate? what about exams and stuff?

Thanks for this, I still have my OU account from my degree I finished in 2008. I enjoyed it so much that I've been longing do more but the prices went silly after the funding changes. So I'm having a look.

For those asking, these won't count as credits towards a degree, and I've just looked at a course I'm interested and it's the same as one I've done on FutureLearn futurelearn.com/ which is the same sort of scheme but they aggregate courses from Unis all over the world.

I don't think the ac.uk email is available unless you are studying one of the University courses, mine shut down at the end of the semester when the course ended.
