Totally agree, they have become some sort of fashion accessory. I know of at least 3 local independent retailers who no longer stock them due to a high number of customer returns due to faults

They are rubbish now..my pink ones have faded really badly...this is a second pair as the first leaked...not the same product at all...

Your no longer buying a pair of decent wellies.... your just buying the name badge..that once was respected

£10 wellies with a very expensive badge stuck on them.

I thought HDUK was a way to promote reduced items to those whom may be interested, not to criticise for no apparent reason? Won't bother in the future.

I think it is fair to warn people when things are not as good as they used to be. So often today companies have bought a well respected name and use it to sell inferior goods esp. in fashion clothing.

Still, they're half price and when I don't want them any more, someone will definitely buy them off me for the same price on ebay

HUDK....Is still about reduced items... but it's more that just that now...if you read the comments you'll see
It's also about value for money...as times are hard for most of us...we expect more from retailers for our custom
It's also about sharing our retail experiences...who continuously gives good service to it's customers and who does not
It's about sharing knowledge on products/technology we aim to buy...but uncertain if it will fit our needs
It's also funny and sometimes it can be brutal...often seen by the wit... or otherwise displayed in the comments
Most of us...never take anything on here at face value... we will read the comments and researched it a bit more

Never take it personally if your deal goes down in flames...the reasons will be well spelled out here by the members
I am sure you would not want anyone to waste money or be ripped off.... if that could be avoided by the freely given
knowledge you'll readily find here

WARNING TO OTHERS - I have just done this and they refused to pay me back the difference, hoping they will just cancel the order now to save having to return!

They have to consent the deal if it's advertised on their website and has been for over a week now. How did you contact them and what did you say exactly?

Really poor quality. Bought wore them for three weeks (just to walk my dog around a muddy field) & they split, was given another pair which split, was then offered another pair but took a refund.

Hunters by their own admission state that their boots are designed for a variety of different purposes. These styles are only suitable for light fashion wear as opposed to general use. You wouldn't walk through a muddy field in a pair of white converse......
For moderate to heavy use, country use, or regular dog-walking, you'd need the Hunter Balmoral Range. I wouldn't buy these or wear these for dog walking and Hunters also recommend you don't use these on hard terrains either.

I agree the quality has declined from when they were made in Scotland, but for half price, it seems a reasonable deal.
