You're right, they did move production a couple of times and go downhill. Wasn't it Scotland originally?

Possibly as I did not google it...it was off the top of my head..
The company - which has its headquarters in Edinburgh - outsourced production to Asia in 2008, with the famous boots now believed to be predominantly made in China.

Hunter has apologised for the technical fault and insists it has maintained the same 'values, production process and quality', despite production moving elsewhere.

mine have just split after very light use ...wouldn't recommend spending that kind of money for the poor quality you recieve
How good can a pair of wellies be compared to another? Not much to them

Same happened with a pair I bought, a real shame a very comfortable
How is this hot? Because they're pink?

My £5 Dunlop's from Boyes are better than the current Hunters, they've lasted 4 years so far with a lot of use....

Oh, and those straps.... Lol....
£95 pounds originally for wellies is madness
Tesco are doing fur lined wellies for £15 think I am going back for them.
Hunters just a fashion brand these days and quality/durability is shameful.

Probably just me, but sounds like a dig on England
Hunters are crap these days...if looking for decent wellies better off with Aigle or Le Chameau
Dont waste your money on these cheap Chinese crap Unfortunately.
They used to be good quality not anymore
Don’t buy hunters waste of money they crack and leak within 12 months the company are just crap to they don’t want to know about complaints

Mine have done this! Did you get anywhere when you complained to them? I thought it was because the Mrs didn't wash the mud off after she borrowed them but apparently not
Yes I returned them to amazon who had no issue in refund. I spoke to others and my uncle has a pair that must be 10+ years old and they, can say look like new, but still are very wearable. Washed in clean cold (hosepipe) water and upturned and left outside.

Hunters I am sure when they made them they used to dip manufacture whereas now they have seems that suggest they are blow moulded....lest time consuming to make.

The last boots I bought I got from Aldi £20 (muck boot style) and had them 3 years and as long as you clean them they are fine.
