Yes they are. Don't knock Birmingham. It's a great place to live and a great weekend destination. Lots of new investment and building. Give it a go.

Some good flight times on the flight out... leaving 11pm and arriving in nyc at 11am is excellent, especially if you can get to sleep on the way out

That's the timing from NY to UK. The outbound flight leaves Birmingham at 18:45 and arrives at Newark at 22:00. It's going to be approaching midnight once you're through immigration. And then you've got to get to your hotel.
Wtf is going on with this deal?
From what I can tell, you can't book starting point as UK.

Ah, scrub that. My phone browser wasn't playing ball

By order of the peaky blinders
That’s an amazing price. Shame the dollar is so strong nowadays.
Reviews are not so good for primera air. Have a look at trust pilot. Lot of people complaining about flight rescheduling and delays. Probably worth paying more and taking a flight that leaves the same day you booked for.
Once you upgrade to the comfort option (as if you're really going to NY with just hand luggage?) and choose return, it works out around £320 total for the cheapest. Not bad at all!
+£150 in taxes and fees for the dates i just looked

    Are you paid in Euros?

I’m paid in Pounds so only the dollar pound rate matters to me.

The pound is week and the dollar is strong.

£1 = $1.43 dollars is pretty strong to me that’s pre Brexit vote rates.

Well that doesn't make sense as they are 5 hours behind ... think you've got it the wrong way round
If you left UK at 11pm, you arrive 2am in NYC

I went a few months back to see a show. You can see a lot of money has been soent on the bullring . But looks like they ran out of money for anything else. I'm certainly in no rush to return

As an individual who lives in Birmingham city centre but has lived in many other cities in other countries in Europe, I'd give it a solid 5/10. Not great lmao.
They use narrow body planes, would rather pay a bit extra for the comfort on a better airline like BA or Virgin as they don’t work out much more tbh if you want the comfort and amenities

    How much more though?
    You need to quantify.

I know this is a joke post, but if anyone is interested as to why flights back home are cheaper it is due to the jet stream (much quicker home, and thus lower fuel surcharges) and also our ridiculously high air passenger duty and the charges from the airports.

Taking an example return flight to JFK from LHR, your outbound flight is hit with £78 APD and a £45 passenger service charge.

The passenger charge on your return leg is just £3.20.

That £150 is included in the price. They're just showing a breakdown of your fare. See above for the types of taxes involved.
So how do u get to new york in first place if it starts from New York probably better posted on hotusadeals instead. Bit of a pointless deal for anyone in UK.

It's better than the silly 'deals' posted recently for things like flights from Cyprus to Jordan.

What if someone is planning a trip to America and wants to end the trip in NYC..... Not so pointless now is it

    Complete nonsense post.

Just because it is a narrowbody plane doesn't mean the plane is any less or more crampt.

It isn't like they're still putting 3-3-3 or 3-4-3 in a smaller plane.

Their seat width is actually wider than both BA and Virgin. So there goes your nonsense claim.
I wonder if New Yorkers can come to Brum and go back for as cheap
One way it’s all I need!
