Hydrogen Peroxide Solution 3% 89p @ Chemist Direct

Few days ago I have asked a question here, where could I buy hydrogen peroxide (mild skin disinfectant for minor cuts, wounds and skin ulcers or as a mouthwash or gargle solution). This may help someone:

Local chemistries don't seem to sell it and when ordering online, the delivery is a problem. Chemistdirect.co.uk sell it for £0.89 (10% off). This weekend you can get free delivery (code: FREEDEL23). New customers via topcashback - 6% (existing 4%)
Maybe not a cracking deal, but possibly the cheapest way how to get it.

Available 6% and 9% solutions. Please make sure you dilute them appropriately.

Or you could buy 100% Hydrogen Peroxide and dilute to 3% at about 5p a Litre

If you could buy it as an ordinary "civilian" (i.e. non-trade) you would probably end up on an MI5 watch list

Yes, the times have changed a bit. Walking into a local shop and asking for it with woman voice, while covering a beard doesn't work any more...

I was in the same situation. H2O2 mouthwash costs £4.50. With this you can improve any cheap one

Good for sorting any palm trees you have that have stem rot btw (_;)

I used to buy it for mixing hair bleach when I was skint and had to do it myself (stronger % than this). Great price though.

That's cool. They can watch me whiten my teeth.

I've bought this from Boots before. I did not need a prescription, they simply asked for my intended usage. I think I paid about £1.15 at the time.

It's also great for removing ear wax too!

Beware of the Black Tongue if you use too much or too often.

3% is too weak for dental whitening. Standard strength used by dentists is 12%.

Is there anything Hydrogen Peroxide can't do?!

I buy it at Sainsbury's. 6% for £1.19 at my local. They also have 9% for a bit more and 3% a bit less.

Don't use thus as a mouthwash long-term or you will dissolve your teeth

What strength solution are you using? This should not happen to your gums. Carbamide peroxide / hydrogen peroxide is completely safe for dental bleaching. I checked with my own dentist, two of my friends who are dentists and my brother in law who is also a dentist. You're either using too strong solution or you have poor fitting trays.

Ive bought the 6% from Boots and Tesco, never needed a prescription i think it was £1.15

Thanks, this is always a nightmare to track down, for me, only one Sainsbury's anywhere near me does it. Thanks.

You don't need a prescription to buy this at Boots or Lloyds. Brilliant stain remover for fabrics when mixed with some bicarb of soda and drop of detergent (just Google a recipe).

This also eliminates bad breath and is just as good as Utradex (Retardex).

Thanks for the code!! Added to something I wanted..

use this on your old games consoles to eliminate the yellowing!

Never had a problem getting this from any chemist really, and you don't need a prescription.

Mix this with cream of tartar and you can use the resultant paste to get rid of manganese stains in your toilet. That's the black/grey stuff that builds up at the bottom which your limescale remover can't get rid of.
