This uses the standard layout, so I'd get it over a Corsair, Razer or Logitech. The standard keycaps on any of them will always be a bit shoddy but with this keyboard you can replace them easily. Heat added.

I'm no expert or anything so not sure which is better to get between cherry mx red, blue or brown... seems red is the most common but anyone recommend good for general typing and FPS play

Red are ideal for gaming. Minimal feedback but require little pressure to register a click.

Blue are great for typing because you get a very distinct feel when the button has been pressed but requires more pressure for a click to register. People don’t like this for gaming.

Brown is the “mid point” between the two. I’ve had a blue and now use brown. I tend to game and type fine with browns.

Aran.D nailed it.

I've used all types including membrane and sissor switch keys.

It's personal preference (blue may give you a slight disadvantage in FPS) but I've also settled on brown.

Gorgeous for both typing and gaming.
