Do you use it for Xbox or PS4 or just PC?

I use it for PC but it is xbox/ps4 compatible I believe.

Thanks! Yeah it is compatible I'm just wondering what xbox users think of the sound as I can only seem to find PC users reviewing these and Clous 2s. Trying to see if its work the extra £18 for these or not as a mainly Xbox user.

£65.10 through works 7% off gift card scheme. Happy days.

Won't have surround sound on Xbox I believe but guess sound quality itself would still be good if you're not looking for that

They work on all devices. The only thing I'd say to get the most out of them is get a cheap Mixamp, there's loads of used ones on eBay for £20. The PS4/Xbox controller plugin works fine, but doesn't provide enough power to get the potential out of the drivers, the Mixamp provides that. These are the best you can buy at £70

Argh these or the Arctis 7's for £97

Totally. It is worth extra 18 pounds. Hyper x has option of 7.1 sound and it makes a diffrence in games. It is awful for music and movies but in games oh boy oh boy. Its a treat.

Sorry I was referring to the HyperX Cloud IIs vs HyperX Cloud Alphas & I read the Cloud IIs have 7.1 whereas the Alpha doesnt - so trying to figure out if for Xbox it's worth a upgrade!

Hesitant on this. People on here used to say the sony official 2.0 headset ps4 was great. Bought it, and while it's good, the sound isn't what people made out to be.

Why buy these over Cloud II's?

"The HyperX Cloud Alpha is a better-sounding and better-feeling headset for the same price as the old one. I’m not even sure how much longer HyperX is going to sell the Cloud II, and I wouldn’t blame them if they discontinued it soon."

No USB sound card is really putting me off.

These are good on XBox One X especially if you have the Dolby Atmos plug in. The downside is not all games support it and it does cost £15 to buy. But the good news is they offer a 30 free trial so you can test it before you buy. It is basically Dolby's own software for virtual surround sound with vertical seperation making any headset surround sound.

Isnt Windows Sonic Free and does the same thing?

I have these. Great headphones! I highly recommend them!!!

As above you can use 3 solutions for surround sound:

Razer Surround @
razerzone.com/sur…und

Dolby Atmos @
dolby.com/us/…tml

Windows Sonic @
msdn.microsoft.com/en-…spx

Plus my Asus Formula Motherboard also has Asus Sonic Studio. Its also worth checking our your own motherboard.

Was just watching the review videos of this headset literally this morning.

At this price, it's just difficult to say no, so I ordered one

Ok I have both the Cloud 2 and Alpha infront of me and while I thought for the past 2 years I've been using the best headset in the Cloud 2 - the difference between the Alpha and Cloud 2 is night and day.

The Alpha is definitely on par with entry level audiophile headphones, I think these beat most £100 headphones.
