When you're battling hostile forces, or creeping through a dungeon, even the smallest sound can make a difference. The Hyper X Cloud Gaming Headset makes sure you hear every detail loud and clear, so you don't get caught off guard by the enemy.

There's an in-line volume remote so you can adjust it as you need to without fumbling around for a remote. And with a detachable mic you can easily send commands to your teammates when playing with friends.

Who uses wires these days?

Generally better for microphones and gaming in general. So in answer to your question, the majority of people looking for this type of headset will be looking for a wired version.

The cloud 2 has a built in USB soundcard for... passable 7.1 effects.
Also... for sound quality. These beat... basically ANY headset (yes, astro's logitech razer corsair included) until the very high end sennheiser GSP. They're... almost as good a low-end hi-fi headphones which... genuinely says a LOT.

Cloud 2 come with 7.1 usb adapter for pc use
Thanks everyone for your replies. I already own a surround sound headset for PC so these might be perfect for PS4
Although i dont have this version i have the cloud 2's and i must say they are simply the best headphones i have owned. Had razer, steelseries, logitech, plantronics and senheiser headsets. All busted and eventually stopped working minus the hyperX. Owned for around 2 years and used near enough daily. Would definitely buy them again

Better mic, sound quality, dts surround sound. But i would recommend the cloud alphas as my friend wears them and they have a superb mic.

I don't like the fact that there is by defenition a more perceptible lag involved with Bluetooth.
Anyone used these? I have the Cloud Stinger which I think for the price are great, wondered if these are a substantial upgrade? They certainly look better build quality compare to the all plastic Stingers.
I have the alphas as I play on Xbox best headset ive had and I've had a lot. I first bought the cloud 2s but 7.1 sound card DOESN'T work on Xbox.
I've tried the Cloud 2 and Cloud Alpha headset on PS4 recently. The bad thing about the Alphas is that because of the way the cups have been designed with the holes, the mic picks up alot of the game audio and starts echoing alot. With the cloud 2 the surround sound works on PS4 and the volume is much louder and mic doesn't pick up echoing of the game audio.
