What's the difference between these and the slightly cheaper Hyper X Cloud II? The latter seems to review better as well.

Will these work on a Xbox one?

Multi-platform compatible

Only stereo supported on Xbox though I believe so a 7.1 like this is overkill

Out of stock

Edit - bought them on the Currys eBay store for the same price

Yes and No, the headset will work, however the USB soundcard won't work.

Genuine question, are these any different to the ones on amazon the other week that were £50? I note that these are the 'S' model. Thanks, A few reviews seemed to think the Cloud II might be the better option so interested to see anyones thoughts/

The ones on amazon were the non S, and refurbished. The S I believe has 7.1 surround. For this price I'd say go for the cloud 2. Cheaper, but I've read the revolver has better sound all round.

Cheers, pretty sure they were new not refurb but don't know what the difference is between 'Pro' or 'S'. hotukdeals.com/dea…105

Hoping for a sub £40 on the Cloud II come black friday.

Ah fair enough. I may of missed it then. Even if it was refurbished, amazons stuff sometimes fortunate enough that you get a practically new one. So, justDepends on your budget and what you're after exactly. They both have their merits, although I do think the revolvers are generally bit overpriced in comparison to the cloud 2s in what they have to offer. And if you're willing to spend a lot on a headset, some may argue to get a mic and headphones separately with an amp etc or look at the astro series.

How do these compare to the new cloud alphas? And does the 7.1 work on a ps4 or just pc?

Depends how you're using them. I wanted a headset that would work for both PS4 and XBox One, and the simplest option seemed to be to get something that would attach to the controllers with a wire. If you're doing that you only get stereo sound, in which case the two headsets in question perform almost identically to eachother. For my specific scenario, buying the £50 set was a no-brainer

If you're playing on PC and will actually be able to appreciate the 7.1 virtual surround, there is more of a decision to make

Original Poster

7.1 seems to work on both PS4 and PC. Stereo sound only on Xbox One.
