What are these like compared to turtle beach
I have some xo fours and although I like them sometimes its hard to pick out where the sound is coming from. Are these any good? Says 7.1 sound output whereas I think mine are amplified stereo

I’m not sure my friend.

Was debating whether to get these or the TB stealth 600 (£89.99) which are wireless. But I hear so many bad things a bout tb headsets.

I’ve watched a few reviews on YouTube. All pretty much positive. Great noise isolation. Extremely comfortable with swappable ear cups. Includes memory foam ear cups. Good sound. Works well with either Dolby Atmos or microsoft’s equivalent sonic, which are available from the store.
I have the cloud alpha"s and the great. comfortable and great sound.

I had the similar headset hyper X cloud 2 but they were awful, at least on console. I'd use a £30 turtle beach x12 headset over these if I'm honest so any upgrade after that would be even better. I had XO4 before upgrading to Astro's, so for around this price range I'd go with XO4/7.

I have both headsets. The only bad thing about the turtle beach ones are that they're prone to disconnecting near enough every single time you use them. Plus they're not that loud at all unfortunately.
Not sure what the console versions are like but the HyperX Cloud II's are like the default headset for PC, fantastic headsets.
Been looking for a PC headset from Currys (vouchers) for the last couple of weeks, I've spent far too many hours reading and watching reviews. I'd only been looking in 'PC accessories'' and these didn't show up in there, so thanks!

I've gone for these, though:

These have a splitter cable included and mention a 2 year guarantee, the ones in the deal link don't mention either of these.

Yeah, it'll have a 2 year warranty, no doubt, I wonder if it'll have the splitter cable for PC.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have the splitter cable!. The cloud 2 is virtually the same as the cloud x, but includes the cable for pc & is 7.1 surround sound compatible.

Yep I've got the cloud 2 on my pc and they are amazing for the price
I has these, they're very good. Adapter included in the box for when you decide to make the move from Xbox to PC (like myself)!
Would these be worth getting for a PC ?

Have you updated the firmware? If so sounds like a bad set, neither issue here, love my 600s

I have astro a50 gen 3 and prefer my cloud 2s over Astros 100% . I think the cloud 2s are amazing
Cloud 2's are amazing for console and pc ignore the comments here saying they are bad. And these are not designed for Xbox they just have a 3.5mm jack.

I've updated them and rolled them back numerous times. I've heard quite a few people complaining about the volume now though.

Strange that one says 2 on the box and one doesn’t then.
Pair this with a cheap Astro mixamp and you are onto a winner. I currently have a Hyper X Cloud 2 and both a Astro Mixamp (for PC) and a Turtle Beach T.A.C mixamp (PS4). The audio quality is the best I have experienced from a headset before.
These are "cloud X pro gaming" NOT cloud II.

Alot of people mentioning Cloud IIs, when that is a very different headset.
Could be wrong but if you are using these on consoles you will only be getting stereo. Anything plugged solely into the controller is standard stereo. Me thinks anyway.

If your on xbox one, they can use windows sonic for free or pay for dolby atmos. for your virtual surround sound fix.
I use TB stealth 700 and using atmos to watch altered carbon was pretty groovy.

If I hadn't got the 700's for Christmas I would be all over these hyperx Cloud X.
They are highly regarded.

With a tr mixamp ?
If not there is no way they are better than a50s
I had a pair of Cloud 2's the cable ended up breaking inside the casing rendering them useless after a year of everyday use but they were fantastic for that year.

Now using a pair of Cloud Alpha's which have a detachable 3.5mm cable and they're even better plus, should I have a similar cable issue it will be easy to replace.

Honestly I had used Turtle beaches for years on Xbox and yet for the past year and half I've sworn by HyperX.... they're a fantastic gaming headset company but they currently cater much more for PC gaming.

Which would you say works best out of the two options? Dolby or Sonic? Mostly playing pubg at the mo!

If it's just pubg you may as well just use windows Sonic, it's not a game that uses 3d sound natively.

I use Dolby, and monster Hunter uses it.

But both services are supposed to do 7.1 quite well.

Actual Atmos games in a quick copy paste.

Assassin’s Creed Origins

Crackdown 3 (now releasing in 2018)

Gears of War 4

Final Fantasy XV

Rise Of The Tomb Raider

Super Lucky’s Tale

For Honor

Insects
I have the xo1's with the adaptor. With the ones that plug directly i.e 3.5mm socket how do you control game Vs chat volume and do they have mic monitoring as I tend to play at night after family gone to bed so need to hear how loud I am talking lol
Gen 3 don't have mix amps. Base station and 3 eq settings that can be used and custom ones put on by pc.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege? I play on both PC and Xbox the same game, so I don't know which one to go for. The Xbox version doesn't come with 7.1?
So these or the HYPERX Cloud Alpha Gaming Headset as both currently £59.99 at Currys?

Looked at th cloud 2's but the headphones themselves don't seem any different (same driver) from cloud or cloud x and as these will be mainly used on Xbox one X the usb 7.1 dongle would be wasted on me for £15 extra.

The alphas have detachable input cable so seem the better option compared to cloudx as not bothered if Microsoft have approved the headphones lol
