If you're ever doubtful about what RAM (or SSD upgrade) you need & nobody to ask, simply use the system scanner at Crucial: uk.crucial.com/sto…ner
You can also use their manual method (this one's for Apple products): uk.crucial.com/upg…ple
Crucial is one of the best companies to deal with as well, but you're not obligated to buy their recommendations if you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

P.S. just had a quick look & it seems you need SoDimm type of RAM, so the type used in laptops. The type in this deal is desktop memory (apart from it being DDR4 as the op said).

Agreed, hot. Would be all over this if I'd not just bought some.
This will get very hot, 3200mhz cl15 cheaper than 3200 mhz cl16.

Same price over at eBuyer, should stock run out.

If 2010 then it would need DDR3 not DDR4, so no.

Is HyperX a decent RAM brand? Comparable with Corsair and Crucial Ballistix?

Edit -Ignore. I've had a quick look around and they seem completely comparable. - Thanks OP - just ordered some.

No, this is desktop RAM, you need laptop RAM - if ever in doubt, scan your Nitro / any other other system with Crucial's tool: uk.crucial.com/sto…ner

Thanks for that will use this going forward
Heat - just bought 2 for my new rig
These sticks should have 2 XMP profiles. One is cl16-18-18 @ 3200Mhz and another one cl15-17-17 @ 3000Mhz
waiting for the magic £55
Thanks. I guess this is the start of a new build. Let's see how the motherboard prices look next week when the new boards come out.
Thanks, I bought 16GB to start my new build. So far I’ve got this and now the Be Quiet 500dx white case. Next is the MB when the 550’s come out (May end up with one of those or the B450 Tomahawk Max). Going with a Ryzen 3600 and I’ll get a 512 nvme and a 2 Tb SSD.

The big issue is graphics debating between a 1660 Super or going over budget and getting an RTX 2060.

Haha, i just built my 1st pc about week ago with the be quiet 500dx black case, ryzen 5 2600, asrock b450m steel legend (mine was also ryzen 3000 ready), crucial ballistix 2x8gb 3200mhz, 500gb wd blue sn550 nvme, gigabyte gtx 1660 super and 450w seasonic focus gold semimodular psu. We have very similar ideas Ryzen 3600 is worth going for and also if you are on a budget radeon rx 5600 xt is worth checking out if ray tracing is not important for you. i got the gtx 1660 super for £203 from ccl computers, so that was a nice price. And i love that case, very quiet.

upload some pictures!

Nice case indeed.

There’s a really good review of this case on YouTube where they talk about the best airflow solutions. Apparently if you move the top fan to the front so it’s 2x front intake and one rear exhaust, that is the best config. Simple mod and easy to do.
The best overall is as above but with two additional intake fans on top.

Very similar ideas indeed! I love the fact that this case is not huge, has some decent cable management and comes with three good fans as stock. I’ve just bought the Psu, went a little higher with 750w just for a bit of future proofing in case I ever get some more power hungry components.
Left to buy -
NVME
1660 super
Tomahawk Max (not bothered about the 550 boards in the end).

Picked up the Ryzen 3600 and the Samsung 1tb SSD on deals here today! Love Hotukdeals! Haha

Nice build btw

Check that the case comes with a USB C header for the front of the case

It is also missing the ARGB header for the 5V LEDs this case comes with

Are you saying this case should come
With those things but sometimes doesn’t?
Got this case too.
Think you mean your motherboard has the header for usb c, I made sure my motherboard supported usbc when i fitted realised it did by a socket next to usb on the back of the card. Can get an adaptor to convert usb 3 header to usb c £8 but i guess wont be full speed and might be a motherboard header you need.
Mine came with a cable to attach usb c socket to board its a strange H shape, the ARG lighting cable needs a header wasnt on the old board either had RGB but thats different.
The lighting is excellent works on a button too.

Case was too nice plan on a more modern build inside.

Sorry typo, meant that your motherboard should come with argb and usb c headers if you want to make use of the full case functionalities.

Most motherboards only come with 12v led headers you use to plug in your RGB lights to control through motherboard software.

If you only want to control the lights with the button on the case then that won't be an issue.
