Finally dropped below the £60 mark.
Great price for 16GB of great quality plug-and-play, low profile RAM.

Lowest it's ever been according to camelcamelcamel.

Oh wow I didn't even find that deal when I looked to see if it had already been posted.

Although like you say I'd rather buy from Amazon too!

This set could work out ridiculously cheap.

For example if bespoke via beat my price offered 10% off = £53.08 and if TCB / Quidco paid up on 14-15% cashback = £45.65 - £45.11.

Also in White sticks at the same price if you prefer

Great price heat added!

Just got the 'we can't beat it' bs; give us a terrible price, and we'll make it slightly less terrible, seems to be their motto...

I paid this much for 1 red stick 8gb a couple of months ago. But does my gaming computer need 24gb?

If you just use it for gaming 16GB is more than enough. You only really need more if you're into things like really heavy Photoshop use or video editing/rendering, 3D modelling etc.

Oh I know about that. But this deal is so tempting and I don't know anyone who would want to buy a stick of ram from me

This is not low profile as they have a slightly higher profile than RAM which lacks heat-spreaders but not by much.

Anyone know if an Asus p6x58d-e motherboard can handle 8gb sticks? I know max capacity is 24gb... Also, if I tried it and it didn't recognise it, could you return to Amazon after it has been opened?

True.. but I think they'd fit under most coolers so I can't imagine many people would have any trouble with them.

Not according to its manual:

vip.asus.com/for…-us

However sometimes firmware upgrades allow for improvements. I wouldn't bet on it though.

Heat added and bought. Decided to take the plunge after this RAM has been dropping almost weekly in price. Hopefully the right time to buy.
Good spec and nice and low in height.
Thanks and heat added

Great price, I paid £65 for this only 2 months ago via flubit, can't believe it has dropped again!

I'd agree, got the Kingston Savage = 33.3mm and can't see an issue with them. The Fury = 32.8mm. Going by info I used when buying, you can add 3mm for when they're in dimm slot, Link:- OCN thread post 6 of that thread also have some info on some coolers ram clearance.

Great price ... around 5 months ago at just shy of £100 this was rated a good deal then.
Anyone reckon it could get down to under £50 for 16GB?

I've got £350 to build a cheap 1080p gaming computer, Including this ram what other components would you recommend:

Mobo:
CPU:
Cooler:
Ram: This one 16gb
GPU:
Case:
PSU:
HDD: Will take a spare one out of my existing (1TB)

I can overclock too, I'm hoping to go through bespoke offers etc. Also happy to go via ebay and get used parts. Also can plan to SLI/CF too later on

I'm no expert on PC builds by any means, but using PCPartPicker and quickly looking at some reviews I've come up with the following for around £370...

Mobo: MSI 970 Gaming AX AM3+
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper TX3
Ram: This one 16gb
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 750TI 2GB
Case: Thermaltake Versa H22 ATX Mid Tower
PSU: EVGA 430W 80+ ATX Power Supply
HDD: Will take a spare one out of my existing (1TB)

uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/K…w23

Again I'm no expert so I'd look around for yourself.

EDIT: Oh and you could save £25 on the RAM by just getting 8GB (2x4GB), as for a £350 build I don't think you really need to spend the extra on 16GB.

He would be better of with a 990 mobo, better for overclocking

Voted hot! - can anyone tell me if this will work on my imac - done a bit of research and I can go up to 32 from 4 so would need to pairs but my existing memory is 1333 Mhz DDR3 - just wondering if the fact these are 1866mhz DDR3 would this cause a problem? its an imac 27inch mid 2011 model

I completely forgot about that. I could have saved an additional 14.14%.

Nope. Your iMac would need DDR3 SO-DIMMs, rather than DIMMs (like those in this deal).

Yea, I don't get this price either; when has Amazon had this ram for £48.55?

16gb ram has never been under £50 from Amazon. Troll?

Feck ... bought this last night at this price but didn't know about bespoke offers AND forgot to use Quidco.

anyway, i bought:

Intel i5 4460 Quad Core CPU (3.20GHz, 6MB Cache, 84W, Graphics, Turbo Boost Technology, Socket 1150)
ASRock Mod 1150 H97M Motherboard
HyperX FURY Series 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 1866MHz CL10 DIMM Memory Module Kit - Black
Kingston Technology 120GB Solid State Drive 2.5-inch V300 SATA 3

going to stick it all in an old case until i see one i like. i'll get a graphics card later because the intel hd is enough for me for now. will probably upgrade the ssd later too and put this one in an old laptop.

these items (plus some thermal paste) came to £310.22.

It was actually. Very briefly on 25th/26th August.

Maybe not Amazon themselves, but definitely on Amazon.
