First deal i am posting. Hope it is good.

In the market for a memory foam mattress and got an alert for an Amazon deal from HotUKDeals. The Deal expired while i did more research.

I noticed that there was also another brand called hypnia being discounted/sold on the Amazon site.

Reviews for it were good and prices excellent. However, the prices are currently cheaper on the official site.

Up to 70% off and 10 year guarantee on the Matress

hypnia.com/

I bought a 10' for about £149.

Good deals... Voted hot...I think more people vote hot for 50p plasters saving a £1 rather that check yours out and save £400...Good first post
I voted hot - excellent deal. Thinking of getting a single for £82 delivered as a trial. Heard anecdotal +'s and -'s.
Thanks OP - I was watching Amazon since their short last deal - to no avail - so grateful for this.

voted hot but the RRP is too much they are selling in ebay and Amazon for the reduced price or nearly most of the times

Are these any good? Current mattress is giving me lower backpain
Thanks
yes these are excellent
Hypnia sell their products through Ebay as mentioned above and are cheaper that way!

Reviews on Amazon look very good.

Have taken the plunge and ordered a King size (12" thick) mattress: just under £174 delivered (plus two free memory foam pillows).

Thanks to OP - heat added.

according to some comments on web 'Density' is something you should watch out for.

these mattress are 75kg per m3.. what ever that means. but you can get 85kg m3.
I think your saving about £10 on the normal prices. The RRP is highly inflated with this site.

I purchased this
http://www.hypnia.com/king-size/63-7-zone-king-size-pocket-sprung-mattress-506re0303820854.html

from another online retailer a few months back and my parents love it. They can't remember the last time they had such a good night sleep.

Hypnia usually come with a 10 year guarantee so they must be good if they are willing to offer such a guarantee.

m3 = cubic area in metres

75kg per cubic metre is a decent enough density.
Sooooo tempted to buy from their ebay site:-

£74.98 for a 12" double mattress but worried this might be 'inferior' stock compared to their main web site going by some of the reviews.:|

EDIT.....The delivery configurator seemed to have been be playing up before and the price has now doubled just as I went back in to order!!!

check some lightning deals on Amazon for silent night 7zone memory double at £149...just bought one

they are rubbish compared to hypnia

only 3cm of memory foam which is very poor
Just ordered the 7 Zone King Size Pocket Sprung Mattress with the 5cm of memory foam on top. Just had a full memory foam mattress and it seems to have bottomed out after a few years. The memory foam over the pocket sprung arrangement looks like the right way forward. We'll find out in a few days.
hmm, 7 Zone King Size Pocket Sprung Mattress looks tempting, is 2"/5cm enough though? although even the 12" 'memory foam' appears to only actually have 3 inches of it...

& what's the inch of latex all about?
Are these any good and have the prices seriously come down?

I agree combining mem-foam with pocket springs but 5cm is not enough judging by some of the buying reports. Need at least 3 inches (7.5cm) of mem-foam for it to be truly effective.
Anyone order one of these if so can anyone let me know what they think of it when it turns up as really want to get one but really hate buying this sort of thing without trying
Vadis just found this deal posted a few weeks ago. Same mattress but from Amazon. The poster has put pictures on and has some good reviews.

I have a memory foam pocket sprung mattress and i can not recommend it enough
I've had a Hypnia mattress for about three years now and its as good now as the day it arrived really comfortable.

Took a little getting used to but now very happy.

Obviously can't comment about whether they last 10 years but you're welcome to ask me in another seven!
Having database errors on website, really want to order one.

Oops. Looks like the activity from HotUKDeals has created lots of traffic for their website. Hopefully it will recover soon. Response does seem to be slow. I can't wait for mines to arrive. Hopefully my experience will mirror that of most of the reviewers on this and the amazon site.
Cant get on to the site

Been looking for a memory foam mattress so hopefully will get on soon.
Was looking at new beds today. What a rip off Dreams is!!!
I bought one of these mattresses in October 2010. It was probably one of the worst mistakes of my life as I now suffer from the most horrendous lower back pain. I found it terribly uncomfortable as well & of very poor quality. Sorry guys, voted freezing cold from me as I wouldn't accept one of these mattresses if they were going for free........
We bought a 10" one about 3 years ago.

Sooooooo comfy, but they can be a bit hot. Doesnt bother me we've just taken to using a lighter duvet. Also when my wife was heavily pregnant, she did have a tendency to get beached on her back.

Its not much of a deal though as this "reduction" is constant, they just swap it around amazon, ebay and their own site.

I am going to buy one for my daughter now anyway.

Thanks.
Bought a 10 inch single a few months ago...VERY happy with it. Superb to sleep on but the pillows are rubbish. Recommend without hesitation.
Why doesnt link work for me
We've had a full memory foam mattress we were given about 5 years ago now (was donated by a family member who'd barely used it) and it's still going strong. I love it!
Been trying to get another like it but have no idea where to start looking for one the same.
I assume the one described in the OP is similar....? Mine's just a big squishy lump of foam so I know it doesn't have any springs in it.
Having signed up for camelcamelcamel on the 12 inch double, i managed to get one discounted to 129 quid delivered last week airing it presently, can't wait to sleep!!!!
HI, my husband has an awful disease of the spine and is in constant pain. After sleeping on our daughters spare bed that had a memory foam mattress we decided to buy one, best buy ever!! It is so worth the money! It helps him, he'll always be in pain but any thing that can ease it and help him get a good night's sleep is a godsend. Hope this helps!

I've been told the very expensive memory foam mattresses that cost >£800 (not verified by myself) normally are entirely made of memory foam so 10" thick mattress would be 10" of memory foam. The ones sold by Hypnia seem to be 3" memory foam and remaining thickness is some kind normal/other foam (or springs) depending on mattress type.

3" (7cm) of memory foam is still better than the other 'cheap' brands which only seem to have 3 cm of memory foam. Plus the quality of 3" foam is 75Kg/m which is nearly the best density you can find which apparently is 85Kg/m.

As a comparison, you can review this very expensive Memory Foam Mattress:
http://www.johnlewis.com/356280/Product.aspx
andsotobed.co.uk/mat…tml
uk.tempur.com/Tem…tml

It seems it also has a 3" memory foam mattress but who knows really. At their recommended price, I could afford to replace the Hypnia mattress a few times and still be quids in assuming my wife and I will be comfortable with the Hypnia. And Hypnia offer a 10 year warranty so if it gives up - I could hopefully get a replacement for free (well we hope!)

No savings here, been these prices for ages, can be bought direct or through ebay or amazon and as somebody has mentioned they are cheaper through ebay. I paid around £130 through their ebay shop for a 10 inch double 6 months ago.

Sleeping on a 10" memory foam or 3" of memory foam with 7" inch reflex underneath - you'd never notice the difference.
I paid two and a half grand for a tempur mattress and it is worth every penny.
This is standard price, I paid £111 for 10' x4'6' a couple of months ago so cold this is not a deal. I'm losing faith in this site.
