They have the advantage of preorder cancels if you're price fishing or having a holding price case a SE appears like I am.

Amazon never price drops for no reason tho, anybody any idea who they matched?

They have matched Argos. Enough people must've submitted a price match for them to take notice.

How do Amazon handle preorder pricedrops on existing orders? I preordered when it was 35, still showing as 35 in my account too.

I believe you only pay less if it is this price on release! So If I were you I'd cancel and re-order!

Although having skimmed the T&C it does say any time it goes down.

Ah I forgot about Argos dropping it (And didn't preorder there as it was prepurchase) so with Amazon dragging their heels as much as ever I didn't put 2 n 2 together.

Ah that makes sense, I actually just spoke on Live Chat and they updated the order for me now, so it's showing at £31.99 What I don't want to happen is for it to only be 31.99 for say a day or so, then my order never updates.

heated not sure if I want it or not tho

Anyone else feel like this is just a cash in? Doesn't seem to be very different and Smash Bros is going to overshadow it completely.

Would have been easier to just cancel and re-order, Amazon make it really easy in that respect.

got £28.35 with fulbit

I am hoping for a likewise price, though I tend to get 11% rather than 12%

End of the day , looks like a decent game with some good Zelda stuff within it.

Just cancelled my previous order and re ordered at this price, pretty damn good for a new release!

Is this game just a Dynasty Warriors skin?

fozzibear

Is this game just a Dynasty Warriors skin?

No. That would be an overly simplistic take.

"What sets Hyrule Warriors apart is that characters are able to equip different weapons with entirely different move sets before heading out to battle. Instead of just being a different skin with different stats like most Warriors games, the new weapons open up totally new play styles in combat. For example, Link with a Fire Rod plays completely differently than Link with a conventional sword and shield."

However, it is essentially a Dynasty Warriors game rather than a Legend of Zelda game so much of the gameplay mechanics of the Warrios series remain but with some Zelda-flavoured innovations - "the addition of sub-items found in mini-dungeons on the battlefield changes the way levels are completed in a number of ways. For example, the bombs in the mine section of Hyrule Field can be used to destroy giant boulders blocking the path towards the castle, and they can be thrown into the mouth of the aforementioned King Dodongo a la Ocarina of Time during a climactic boss battle at the end of the stage."

From Amazon's pre-order confirmation page...
'Our Pre-order Price Guarantee covers one or more item(s) in this order. The price you pay will be the lowest price offered by Amazon.co.uk between the time you place your order up to and including the date the item is dispatched. Where the item has a stated release date, if your order enters the dispatch process before that date, and the price of the item drops below the price you were charged between the date of dispatch and the release date, we'll automatically refund your payment card for the difference. Terms and conditions apply.'

Flubit take payment straight away though don't they ?

The pessimist in me thinks that weapon set feature is purely because they don't have enough characters to cover what would otherwise be 'weapon sets' in the Warriors games, what with their huge range of characters. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'm still preordering, looks fun I pretty much pick up every exclusive on the WiiU, I like to support it.

flubit do require payment straight away which is the only downside but if your happy to save £3 or so and order now than they are good to use, do NOT hold your breath with flubbit sending it for the day of release though, ive used them about 10 times and only once did a game arrival on the release date, usually its 3/5 days afterwards

order placed for a great price. Nice place holder incase they announce a special edition. Fingers crossed.

flubit only offered me 6% off. £30.07
