sorted byI'd like to be able to cut logs up to 10" - 12" thick.
That's Halloween sorted nice and early.
Compared to the 40v Aldi Ferex and mains powered Ryobi I also have it is like night and day.
Unless you only want cut light/small stuff petrol
is the only way to go. The chain speed makes a huge amount of difference. (edited)
Actually got the 40v Aldi one and it seems decent enough for it's light weight (and price!)... also got a Dewalt Flexvolt, for chunkier stuff. Yes, the battery does die fairly quickly, but I'm not doing that much - and if I was I'd have spare batteries.
