This is a 2 year PCH deal on a Hyundai Hybrid vehicle. A good alternative to the Toyota Prius, but amazing value for money at £4100 including VAT for 2 years motoring.

NOTE: this is for 6,000 miles pa.

8,000 miles pa available for an extra £10/month

Had these on trial at work for a few weeks. Sadly the dual clutch boxes are clunky and jerky when changing between power modes.

Not a bad car otherwise, I think you will be sad at how much the gearbox spoils the ride. Toyota have got the hybrid experience down to a tee, the IONIQ just misses the mark.

A shame, VW has ended funding in its DSG programme, other brands are switching to faster, more fuel efficient and smoother torque converter boxes and CVTs. Shame Hyundai - Kia were so late to this party as it leaves them looking like they are behind.

Don't hire this car with out going to the dealers for a serious test drive in real world conditions.

Ticks a lot of boxes. 'Skinny' wheels apparently

Do google: Hyundai DCT you will see a lot of unhappy owners. I don't think these will replace the Prius, Aruis Hybrids or Outlanders on our fleet.

Was that through Ryders? Stonking deal!

Fleet managers are walking away and the showroom price is too much.

Even sales/PCH etc. of the new Prius are down to the general public due to the price increase. Auris, hatch or estate is a better deal.

yes ..

There is a del cost if you are not within a100miles
"We charge £1.25 per mile over 100 miles that we deliver"

@groenleader

Saw the comments in the hyundai and you mention that in your fleet you have the toyota prius.

I would be seriously interested in buying any Prius's you can get your hands on as long as they are min 2011 im happy. Mileage isnt an issue. So if you can get your hands on any before your company sends them off to the auction, give me a shout as theres a chance here for you and me both to make some money.

Given this is a lease not an ownership problem. DCT has its advantages too though: a DCT transmission gives 6 solid ratios rather than epicyclic.

Sorry but I don't understand lease deals - you have use of a brand new car for two years and you're expected to pay for this service? It should be free.

Ask your local Hyundai dealer to price match?

Try the car out for yourselves folks, I don't think Groenleader is being entirely fair (he has demonstrated 'badge buyer' tendencies in previous car deal threads).

I imagine VW Group have ditched DSG because they couldn't get it right, it's definitely not 'past it' technology. Weirdly though, I would say CVT is...Hyundai-Kia have used DCT for around 5 years now in the UK (probably longer elsewhere in the World) this isn't their first attempt.

This is a bargain at around £2000 a year.

Absolutely. DSG has had its problems but the latest generation has resolved the juddering getaway and conductivity issues.

I was quoted £253 at 15k miles a year on the premium one of these. The dct though as many people have said is crap. It's not good when you're pottering about and doesn't get any less clunky when you stick it into sport mode and floor it.

Decided instead to go for a Leon Coupe FR tech for £203 15k a year miles instead.

**just a note that both of these quotes were initial rental only and no deposit at all

When have had badge buyer tendencies!?

I only give my opinion from my extensive day in - day out life with cars as the manager of a substantial multinational fleet. I don't think either my own personal cars would end up on HOTUKDEALS though both were thrifty buys!

I try to give an honest and fair points on the cars so in the few mins people read the posts they can say ah yes this is a problem that is a benefit etc.

The transmission on this car is a deal breaker. It car is being pushed out on the cheap, its not popular and there is a crucial reason why and its not do with the badge, or way it looks etc.

I've read a few reviews of this car and none of them say there's a big problem with the transmission. It's not popular just because it's a fairly newly released car. This is a good alternative to the Prius especially at this price.

You rarely find a bad review these days. Even places like Honest John which used to be quite good tend to be less critical. They all tend to take the positive approach's, ie. overwhelmingly why would like the car rather then why would should not.

Auto journalism is, at least at the this period dead. Mostly as result of non traditional out lets reviewing cars they were not given by the manufactures and giving favourable reviews which their specific genre of reader would enjoy, or not even driving them (MSN Motors were a classic) and simply writing reviews on good things based on pictures and specs, not even by people driving them!

The days of describing a car as the "automotive equivalent of horse manure" are over, for now at least, until every one complains that are not critical enough!

Owner forums are your best bet for problems, experiences etc.

Yes I would be a rich man by now if could! The company has an internal sales policy back to the workers, left over stock we then do get rid of but that's usually cars that no one would want. We actually pay money for things like the 3 series, as the discount for the amount we take is so big. Lots of the recent Prius deals have been through rental options.

A great offer but only 18 months, so an average of £192 per month compared to £171 for this one.
