Was tempted to buy this from Waterstones at £100 yesterday. Went to have another look this morning and Waterstones had sold out. Checked out other sellers and good old WHS have just reduced their version from £100 to £65. Free collect in store option. Free delivery of over £20. Or First Class £3.99

description

"Gloriously witty, keen and spirited" J.J. Abrams, Director of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Limited to 1,000 copies, this collector's edition is signed and hand-numbered by Anthony Daniels. It also includes three exclusive printed cards with personal commentaries by Anthony. This covetable edition has gilded edges and is presented in a bespoke slipcase adorned with Daniels' foiled signature. "The odds of me ever writing a book were approximately... Oh, never mind. My golden companion worries about such things - I don't. I have indeed now written a book - telling my story, in my voice, not his - recognising that our voices and our stories are inextricably intertwined." When Star Wars burst on to the big screen in 1977, an unfailingly polite golden droid called C-3PO captured imaginations around the globe. But C-3PO wasn't an amazing display of animatronics with a unique and unforgettable voiceover. Inside the metal costume was an actor named Anthony Daniels. In this deeply personal memoir, Anthony Daniels recounts his experiences of the epic cinematic adventure that has influenced pop culture for more than 40 years. For the very first time, he candidly describes his most intimate memories as the only actor to appear in every Star Wars film - from his first meeting with George Lucas to the final, emotional days on the set of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. With a foreword by J.J. Abrams, this book is a nostalgic look back at the Skywalker saga as it comes to a close. I Am C-3PO: The Inside Story reveals Anthony Daniels' vulnerability, how he established his role and what he accomplished, and takes readers on a journey that just happens to start in a galaxy far, far away.

As a huge Star Wars fan, i find the £50 mark up (compared to £14.99 for the hardback) for a signed copy a little hard to swallow....and thats at the reduced deal price! The original £100 price was just insane.

Should have been titled “One last chance to milk the character before Disney makes me obselete”.
This douche was in Disneyworld and was charging $10 for a handshake. Awful money obsessed human.
Do you get a dinner date too?

Because you'd turn down the money if anyone were interested in paying you.

Yes but you have to pay for that too and he'll be rude to you throughout the whole thing.

Every story I've heard of him is just that he's a massive t*t. Think he's too good for the role, but milks it for all its worth and isn't known for anything else. He's always just struck me as someone who got lucky that a role he had took off.

This video sums up his attitude pretty well

Nah, no one is interested in meeting me and certainly not to pay for it.
Loving the fact there isn't much love for this bell-end. Just need to see how he feels towards a lot of people that had roles in the SW movies.
