I managed to wade through the console special offers to get here. And I don't want it heh I can't knock it on price but I can't bring myself to play this. It's sort of reminds me of one of those early adventure games where they were still really text adventures but they managed to put images above the text. I've nothing but bad memories of those games. I don't know what people saw in them. They always sounded great and people at school would tell me how great they were but my games would go like this

look
you see a forest and a sheep
look at sheep
its a sheep
go to sheep
i don't know how to go to sheep
approach sheep
i don't know how to approach sheep
go east
that way is blocked by the sheep
go west
you go west
look
you see a forest and another sheep
go north
I can't go north
go east
I can't go east
go south
I can't go south
go west
Where the skies are blue
go west
This is what we're gonna do

A few years ago I wrote a text game for my dad who used to play text games when he was a young fella. I thought it would be really nostaglic for him and it would make a really good little present for his birthday.

I spent weeks, literally weeks making the thing. I had to learn the programming language from scratch. It was far from easy. There were loads of in-jokes and shared family points of reference in there. I crafted it to perfection.

When I gave him the game on his birthday he played it for 10 minutes and said: 'This is s***!" and left to watch an episode of midsomer murders. oO
I recall a text adventure with a dead woman(I think) in a chair, if you typed in have sex with her you would die from some sexually transmitted disease.

It dosent get better than that 0.o
