Two subscriptions available - £35 for 12 months or £20 for 6 months. Works out at 13.2p daily or 15p for the 6 month subscription. The newspaper costs 20p normally.

Subscriptions are in the form of vouchers and we can either send vouchers direct to you to redeem at any participating newsagent, or we can send them to a nominated gift recipient of your choice.

As someone who's been mucked around incessantly by The Independent's subscription 'department' over in Belfast, (not a problem that you should have as (a) you're getting a set number of sheets of vouchers sent in response to a one-off payment rather than letting the *ers loose with a DirectDebit mandate and their own idea of counting 4-4-5 week'd months); (b) the FAQ address is now in London not Belfast) I just suggest you are clear WHAT you are buying:

You are actually NOT buying 12 or 6 months worth of vouchers, but instead are buying just a little bit less, which they do ACTUALLY reveal in the FAQs...

"If you are buying i for yourself then we will dispatch 26 weeks' or 52 weeks' worth of vouchers to you."

12 months is really 52 weeks + 1 or 2 days depending on whether it's a leap year or not!

Do realise too that 'i' is only published weekdays, Mon-Fri, hence the 20p x 5 x 52 = £52 less £17 saved by pre-paying upfront in hope it's published for next year = £35.

The link btw is to http://www.i-subscription.co.uk/

Not really sure what the problem is here…

Basically you'll get a voucher book with your name on each voucher and each voucher is for a different day of the week. You take that to the shop and exchange it for a newspaper. If you buy it for year then you'll be paying around 13p per paper as opposed to the daily price of 20p (note this paper only comes out Mon-Fri). Easy and not overly sure why it's being voted cold.

Cold - why bother with the hassle, its only 20p?

I think it's being voted cold because i) of what A13 said, and ii) a lot of independent retailers (newsagent and corner shop owners) refuse these vouchers.

I've voted hot because it's a saving of £17 against what you would would pay for a year - £52
The first post confuses the matter, one person has a problem with their subscription, should not put you off what I consider to be a very cheap quality newspaper.
I will not be taking up the offer though as I am happy to wander into any news agents and get rid of 20p in change. It's a good paper, vote it up!

Have to say at 20p a day it is a bargain. Great read on the commute, good variety of writing and subject matter, no celeb s**te and good sports coverage. At 13p a day it's even better!

Am sure these regular ipaper deals are being posted by their marketing department

Personally thought the paper was below average and got sick of the self, marketing throughout

I am a web designer from Leicester - not an employee of i - FACT!

It is well worth subscribing now as the price goes up to 50p daily and 60p on Saturdays

What a pain to find this site. Spent ages looking for non-existant website.

Once again I have run out of vouchers. How difficult is it to send a new supply just before the current pack run out.
