If you are running MS-DOS or Linux from the command line, might be OK. I think XP will seriously struggle on this machine. And its used - which should be in the title I think.

No just poop, but used poop.

I think the deal is ok if you only had £119 to spend on a laptop... Try and find a better used laptop for that price --

am looking for a cheap laptop/netbook for my 9 year old that will run youtube and facebook with no problems. Sick of arguments over pc :x
Anybody have any links to any cheapies?
Thanks

This laptop would be OK for facebook and youtube - we had these at work as our corporate machines about 6 years ago.
They were fine machines then.
Agree with comments earlier that you can probably find a better 2nd hand laptop for this sort of money.
Have you tried eBay?

To be honest not keen on getting one from ebay incase of problems

Great bomb-proof laptops, really well made and very reliable. Worth it if you need something rugged. Showing its age a bit now though. Worth spending a little extra on something newer IMHO.

this one from mcs technology a lot better spec for XP and not that much more.
would make really good ubuntu 9.10 machine as well.

With that CPU it will struggle to run anything above Flash 7 not worth it imo.

Yes indeed, as can be seen from the minimum specs for flash 10....

Intel® Pentium® II 450MHz, AMD Athlon™ 600MHz or faster processor (or equivalent), 128MB of RAM:whistling:

Roger Whittaker, I had an old PIII 933 based PC until recently all I can say is they must base those specs on a very small window for video, because only Youtube SD or other Flash 7 low quality video ran at full speed. Watching trailers on sites like IMDB wasn't possible.
