Decent find

Heat for the other veg you've got listed (sweet potatoes are also reduced), but the lettuce is a rip-off. They're very small (only worth the sale price, imo) and they're all the same size, as they're prepackaged in individual plastic sleeves

Good deal especially the pointed cabbage.

The lettuce might be small but you can easily pay up to £1 for only a slightly smaller one elsewhere. I think I would rather have 2 of Aldi ones for the same price.

Would rather spend more elsewhere than buy any of the supposed 'cheaper' Supermarket Veg/Salad products .. Bought some last week and was 'off' the following day!

Never again!!!

i have been buying this the past few weeks great deal, get all my fruit and veg here for a hellof a lot cheaper than the bigger supermarkets and good quality

I remember the days when icebery lettuce first came to England, they were in such short supply and were so expensive that it was worthwhile to bring them back in hand luggage from USA!

My Rabbit prefers Sainsburys.

Im eating this very lettuce at the moment and its so fresh, fantastic shop, long live lidl

Great find... Cheers for posting

They are not very small and all the same size it is called grading !

If they did not wrap them then within 24 hours of being cut they would be limp :whistling:

It is all new season English lettuce

Still happens at times, Spain is the main source of lettuce in the winter for Northern Europe and it struggles at times to fill the market so Iceberg is still shipped and air freighted from the USA to fill that gap ..... in the 70's when it made its debut in the UK I remember Lettuce from USA only at Xmas and £1.00 each ! almost an hours pay for some people ...but stil people bought it

Not really a great deal, i run a fruit and veg market business. Iv been selling huge iceberg from england for a few weeks now at 39p standard price, cafes even get a little discount.

What size are the Q's, im out at 49p but they are massive and im 25p for half. Dont bother with avos so i cant quote on that. Mango's were 3 for £1 this week and my hispy (pointy cabbage) has been 39p for a while now from a farmer in boston.

My parents said this. They got sprouts, and the next day they were all soft and horrible so throw them out :?
