Iceland 7 day deal 5 pack of bananas 50p

Heat. 5 fingers of fun. Bargain price.

Good price, but I've found the quality of Iceland bananas to be generally pretty poor.

Not bad but if you're going to go out of your way to get bananas you could go to Sainsburys and buy them Fairtrade for 68p/kg. No idea how big these bananas are but a kilos worth gets you 5 pretty large bananas.

I'd keep your receipt, buy those from Iceland, then return to Sainsburys - 18p profit!

how come it's ''bargain'' ? there are probably 6-8 bananas per 1kg , and 1kg loose stuff at any place is around 68p!
regular price...

Btw I like my bananas when they are sooo ripe and spotty that they have started to burst already.. but all the shops only sell almost green ones ,those ones tastes like eating a rubber you can get those only when they are reduced to few p since no1 will buy them and they will go off tomorrow

Voted cold. Clearly a scam. According to Boris Johnson a pack of five bananas is impossible. ;-)

Saw them today, sweating in a plastic bag, weren't very big managed to get 7-8 Bigger ones from Tesco for about a £1.00

Hmmm I'm all for a hot deal but I am not sure that this is one..... 68p/kg today at Tesco.... I think this is marginal..... If they are 5 large bananas then you are maybe saving 10p?

Yes! We have no bananas,
We have no bananas today.
We’ve stringbeans, and onions,
Cabbages and scallions
And all kind of fruit, and say,
We have an old fashioned tomato
Long Island potato,
But yes! We have no bananas,
We have no bananas today!

Cold. A banana is rarely more than 10p unless it's massive. Standard price.

go manky very quickly

Remember you can use the banana skin to clean your shoes and boots , then buff up with cleaning cloth, just as good as polish, and works on any colour.

Yes, I bought a bunch at Christmas and most have gone quite black now; I suppose I might have to throw them away soon, what a waste.

Sainsburys, Waitrose....68p/kg
I guess if you do ALL your grocery shopping at Iceland, then this is a hot deal

such heat for a 10p saving...

As many have said, this is not a great deal, you can buy your bananas loose at a similar price in almost any of the big supermarkets, you can then choose the size (usually bigger) and ripeness too and check for bashes. It's normally much cheaper than buying them in bags.

18p each in my local Tescos for the past year or so

99p/kg in my local Co-op

this is bananas

Certain types of food dont do very well in plastic bags in heat. moisture builds up.. some food does fine,

Bananas are well known for ripening in heat, you can ripen a banana in the oven in 30 minutes.

So my 'strange' point was that Iceland did not have them them stored very well.

Vote Remain for more than 2 bananas
