Lidl's normal price is a quid for this size (4 pints, 2.272 litres).

poundland the same ...

Some shops near my gaff (Nottingham) are 2 X 4 Pints for 1.39.. 17p a pint!

It was 2 for £2 and £1.10 each, this is good for me as 2 is a bit too much for me

I buy mine from my local shop 99p for 4pints or 2 for £1.60. It always amazes me how these small shops seem to be selling the milk a lot cheaper than the big supermarkets. (i/m looking at you Tesco and Sainsburys)

A small difference but Poundland and Farmfoods are 2 litres, not quite 4 pints.

Aldi has been charging £1 for weeks.

poundland the same ...

No poundland is for 2 litres only, not 4 pints

I always get mine @ iceland. brilliant for those that only do skimmed.

tesco sells the purple top milk (1% which tastes the same as green top) for 88p/4 pints. they recently took down their 2 for £1.50 deal but its still cheaper than this.

The way farmfoods and iceland sell cheap milk is killing our english dairy farms - the way the supermarket chains are going there won't be any cows left in our fields, they'll end up in battery pens like in the states.

I do think about the farmers when I look for the cheapest milk. Problem is, If we pay more I believe it will be just more profit for the supermarkets, you don't seriously think they will give the extra money to the farmers do you?
Do you believe that the cheaper shops such as Farmfoods and Iceland are paying farmers less than Tesco etc? I don't think so. They may even be making a loss on basic stuff like milk just to get us in the shop.
Pointless really to bring this into this thread, unless you have the answer?
