2 in a pack, a bit of luxury, meant to be one of the world's luxurious meats, probably not the Japanese variety, but maybe worth a go.

They had these similar price @ Lidl or Aldi, those who tried said they were pretty good for burgers, salty, and don't go expecting fillet beef for mince prices

Wagyu is the breed of cow, Kobe is the area of Japan the cow is raised in.

It's good if you like fatty marbled beef. I wouldn't pay a premium for it personally. Sounds like a decent price.

its the marbling of the beef that makes it juicy and succulent

Got to say I usually steer clear of Iceland as I don't like the food, but having been dragged in there recently (to get rasberry magnums) they have upped their game, tiger prawns and scallops they sell are excellent. Frozen at source and good quality. Will avoid the platters and 90% of rot they also sell but the ice creams are excellent value too. May give these burgers a go...

I actually thought they were very good, not much difference in flavour to regular beef but they were really tender.

I'm not sure it would really help much in a burger as they would just put a ratio of fat to beef (and god knows what else!) in and punt them out.

I've eaten Wagyu or Kobe style beef amongst a good number of other types and have found that it tends to be a crap shoot as to which appeals to me, depending on the actual meat.

I can honestly say that the Wagyu or Kobe style beef has not been the best examples of steak I've eaten but that's down to individual taste rather than any perceived quality.

Ok just bought some after reading previous comments. I really liked them, too rich to have all the time but really good flavour. They sound cheap but actually they are the same cost per kg as the Asda wagyu burgers. I would buy again!

no harm trying them for the price, anyway, nobody with a brain would put actual wagyu between 2 pieces of bread with ketchup and cheese!

but was it actual wagyu or kobe beef or was it the mock one like the one that asda was trialling and didnt keep up also what lidls was likely to be

The last Waygu type beef I had was in Korea (Seoul) back in May,I'm fairly certain it wasn't from Asda but I've had it in the USA and UK too.

I'm not saying it was bad, just that I've eaten more enjoyable steaks.

Been to 4 stores in London all SOLD OUT not expecting any further stocks!

Tried Iceland surprisingly good going to try aldi version well it is national burger
