Icelberg lettuce £1.25 or 2 for £1 (or another veg) @ Tesco

With the prices of fruit and veg increasing, it's nice to see healthy eaters can get a bargain from the supermarkets.

1 lettuce is now £1.25 or you can save 25p and also get another free by adding 2 to your basket

Thanks to Davenmick for spotting that the offer applies to other veg as well, such as beetroots, radishes, mixed leaves etc but lettuce is the most expensive product.

Sorry, but I dont get these promotions on items with short use by dates.

People who only want 1 item, are "forced" to buy 2 so they can save money. This inevitably means it goes in the bin because they only wanted 1 in the first place!.

Personally, I cant bear to throw food away when there are millions in this world starving, so promotions like this are just cruel in my opinion.

It's clearly an issue with the site, as I was surprised I made such a mistake but I attempted to edit the title and it already stated: "Icelberg lettuce £1.25 or 2 for £1 @ Tesco"

How ironic that a site that people regularly report glitches has a glitch itself...at least HUKD doesn't make a loss from this glitch.

I appreciate what you're saying but either way, you're saving 25p whether you use the second lettuce or not but if you really are concerned for the homeless, why don't you do what we did and make some sandwiches from produce we knew we wouldn't be able to eat before it loses it's freshness and give it to homeless people, that way, everybody wins.
they will probably be out of stock when I go, local Tesoc rubbish for stock

It's a shame more people don't do things like this, as it helps the unfortunate, is practically free because it would of gone in the bin anyway and it leaves you with a good feeling for 10 minutes of effort.
Now to get some prawns and I have the making of a classy starter
You don't have to have another lettuce. The offer is any 2 of the following for £1.

Celery, mixed salad leaves, beetroot, iceberg lettuce and radishes

Thanks for that, I've just updated the OP and giving you credit for spotting this, as it was early on Monday morning when I spotted the offer haha
Brilliant deal thanks for posting. They were £1.26 each the other day and couldn't bring myself to pay that.
£1.25 for a lettuce? Wow.

Buy a lettuce and some beetroot, eat them both, hug a tree, chill out then get mad for no reason again.
The price of fruit and veg at Tesco is shocking. Wish we had a cheap market or aldi/lidl nearer to us...

This is a good deal for tesco tho! Heat added
Overpriced, like most items in Tesco...
Yet another crappy Tesco 'deal'

Notice how Asda/Morrisons always do have priced goods, Tesco always do 'buy 17, get one free'...

Pointless offer!
Not in my tesco (Falkirk) they did have bogof on cauliflowers but lettuce wasn't on offer I bought a round lettuce for 57p instead. Didn't see 2 for £1 on any veg actually.
why can't they just be 50p each
These are £1.00 in Talbot Green
