3 people in our family are currently on this deal and it's great as you can download the ID app to keep an eye on usage. Can't go wrong for £1 a week with no contract. ☺

I was just going to also suggest this. Extra £4 a month for quadruple the data allowance. Note that Plusnet mobile uses the EE 4G network, whereas iD uses Three.

The Plusnet and iD deals with 1GB data for £5 are much better value unless you have non-smart phones.

Spend an extra £1 and quadruple the data

I went for the £5 1gb deal a few days ago. I had to deal with their CS department - wow, so amazingly inept! After dealing with 6 different people i finally got sorted and ended up being given a months free credit because of how poor their service was.
I've used ID before and hadn't had issues, ah well, it's par for the course with telecom companies!

Their customer service is quite poor (more like it doesn't exist).
I had a plan from them for my daughters phone and I had months of regret. They billed me for data usage that was not used (phone was dead and in a box, but still used data??). They cut the service off and the phone still managed to use 4 gig of data - after they cut the service off!. Eventually went to Ombudsman and got back the £150 I had been billed.
The "Shock" price is also per service (phone/text/data), so a £5 limit means that you could pay up to £15 over (if you use phone + text + data).
I think my mis-billing was probably a rare fault (phone is now on three 3,2,1 PAYG and data usage is normal) but dealing with support made me want to throttle them. CPW staff refused to talk to iD Staff as well, because of how useless they said the service was.
They also send no warnings on usage either, your expected to check with the App, and it can be delayed by 24 hours.
Not saying stay away, Just saying I had a really bad experience with these guys.

Hi xyhz123456, this sounds very strange that you could have been charged for data when it was not used, checking the records stored by the phone is usually a good way to correlate any normal data use.
ShockProof plans can be capped at a minimum extra spend of £5 and this applies to any chargeable event. The ShockProof cap can be raised if required, up to £75 in some cases.
Were sorry to hear about the way you felt whilst dealing with customer services, your comments have been fed back to the management team.
