Back to school deals. This is enough for the kids and capping too

Existing - iD Mobile 500 mins, 500 MB, 5000 texts. iD have doubled the minutes of this plan - £3.99
New - iD Mobile 500 mins, 500 MB, 5000 texts. 30 day contract includes Data Rollover, Capping, Roaming - £3.99

For £3.99/mth you get 500 minutes (was 250), 5,000 texts and 500MB of 4G data on rollover. You can choose to limit your bill to no more than £5 over the tariff price. Also you can roll your unused data over into the next month. So use only 250mb one month and you'll have 750mb to use the next. No need to choose one over the other now! Capping, eu roaming and rollover included in this package.

*officially no tethering but iD say it uses allowances quicker so don't support it but will not kick you off if you do

Looks like they need to double it a few more times.

buy the 4.99 one then you muppet
Poor deal, if they are looking to sell this as kid friendly they need to increase the data as this is all kids use these days, calls and texts are the lowest priority these days with all the apps that use data for calls and texts.

OP, can you amend the title, they've doubled the minutes on this, not the overall allowance for texts and data.

How is this cold. Good deal OP. Everyone likes to pay stupid money for some only obviously

Good deal, but I think they should reduce the minimum cap you can set. When the lowest cap you can set makes the contract more than double the price it doesn't really make it kid friendly.
Good price, but iD mobile isn't the best. Check the Trustpilot Reviews
Fab thanks, I'm with them no problems and looking at getting a startup for the child to be able to contact me, this will do
I got this deal for 1p more you get 1gb data, 1000 minutes and unlimited texts. Still available as well i think.hotukdeals.com/dea…e=2. 12 month contract though

And Virgin Mobile who use EE. My partners dad is on VM and can't get a signal so was looking to switch to this......which has been this deal/price for a while now, at least a month lol.
Been with ID for over a year. Had some issues initially with the porting and registering to use their App however signal coverage has been good as it defaults to EE if no Three signal. I was on their £5 per month contract and switched over a month back when these new higher allowance tariffs came in. No problem switching, just one phone call.
500MB wont be enough for any child alive, plus net £8pm 3.5GB is more like it

I switched from Virgin Mobile to ID a couple of years ago and have never looked back. ID are far and away superior in service.

I checked the reviews for Vodafone, EE and O2 on trustpilot the other day, only EE had the same rating as ID, the others were a lower rating.
Don't believe everything you see on the net, I've used them and they've been a good network to me.
iD = CarPhoneW*nkhouse = automatic downvote.

I play £5 a month on ID and get the following:

2000 mins
5000 txt
2GB Data

I got this deal via retentions team when I called to get a pac code.

How did you find out it defaults to EE? I've just switched to ID from GiffGaff and ported my number no issues. Took less than a day. Had some issues with the 4G on the first day. Could only get 3G signal but it fixed itself. GiffGaff was charging £10 for 2GB 500/Unlimited. Now I'm on 4GB 1000/Unlimited (It's 5000 but cmon now...) for £9 with D-Rollover.

Yeah i asked for a trip to barbados and some girls but they failed to deliver. Just can't belive it
500MB 4G Data will go nowhere. I use about 3.5GB per month.
How do you get through a month with 500MB of data? They should have rather doubled the data, I think.
Scum company. As always, I warn people to read what their customers think about them first:

facebook.com/idm…age
It is decent, but not a bargain compared to previous deal.
End of July - early August, Plusnet is offering 1.5GB data + 1000min + 1000 texts for £5.00
TPO have double data and unlimited texts. Granted, some say they are a crappy bunch to deal with but still a better deal..

I didn't know it would until I kept noticing EE on my mobile at times, especially at home where the indoor signal on Three isn't great.

Three have a 7.2 rating whereas iD Mobile have a 1.3 rating.

Given that they both use the same network, it seemed a little concerning; the prices are low enough, so there must be issues be with customer service/billing/poor business practice.

I just wanted to make people aware of it so that they can decide for themselves with a little more caution.

I'll think you'll find depending on where you look the ratings vary, as per the link, which is why I'm saying, don't just trust in what's written online, ask someone you know that uses the network or try it for a month or so (you only have to give them 30 days notice) and if you just based it on the ratings then there wouldn't be anyone using Vodafone or O2, based on trustpilot.
Personally, I'd say ID have been great over the 2 years plus I've been using them and I would rather give my money to the smaller networks like ID or GiffGaff than the larger one's.

Hmmm.. 25 reviews in your link vs. 5,588 in mine.. so yeah, they vary

And it's Carphone Warehouse.. you're giving your money to Carphone Warehouse.
I have just swapped over to id and read through all the customer reviews. The complaints where mainly about the high cost if you exceed your data limit personally I have my data switched off unless I need to use it. They charge 30p to send an email with emojis

Hi pcgamer2014, iD Mobile is a network in itself, however, we use the masts of Three. I hope this helps!

Hi bigdarlodave, we sell contracts to customers 18 years and over, we do not sell to children. Adults do often purchase contracts that they allow their children to use, and we do offer up to 6 GB of data for those customers who need a little more.

Hi MoogleV, our contracts are sold to customers over 18 years; we appreciate that some Parents may purchase them for children to use and, in this situation, we advise Parents to download the iD Mobile App to their own phone to monitor their usage.

The cap cannot be set to lower than £5, however, mobile data can be turned off at the handset which means no extra charges can be incurred.
