Could go either way, posting a phone deal...
I don't use the minutes much, and who even uses texts now there's Whats*pp?
But I do need an ok amount of data, this beats the next best thing I've found by £2.50.

Over to you, HUKD...

Have some heat, but may do better in mobile...
Can't teather though even with bt you can now! Its a big turn off for spme and the customer service is shocking apparently!
I have this deal. No problems with them at all...so far.
Think this is a repost though, I'm sure it's in the hukd mega thread too.
I need a sim for about a week or so and this will do the job I think

Just make sure you give your 30 day notice once its activated otherwise you may end up paying for 2 months not just 1
Word of warning. I changed to this contract and kept my old mobile number. The change was the next day but didn't work properly and I can't receive any phone calls or text messages. That was two weeks ago and it's still not sorted! I've already told them I want the service canceled and my money back and my phone number! but I'm still waiting!
Uses three network. Absolutely not worth it for many. Three's reception issues have not improved the slightest.

Another word of warning - I left o2 after 10 years to join ID because of the cheap pricing but with cheap pricing comes cheap performance. I could barely find signal and when I did, it was 3G, signal was very intermittent wherever I went. After a month or so of dealing with it, I left and rejoined o2.

The price has nothing to do with the signal strength and availability; iD use Three's network, they don't own their own towers etc.

That said, many people do complain about Three's signal, but I can't comment on that as I've not been with Three anything like recently.

It all depends on where you are. I am with BT and 3 (dual SIM phone) and my wife is with ID and I would say that we generally have better signal on Three/ID than we do with BT (which uses EE). In the centre of Cardiff my BT signal drops all the time while 3 never fails (hence why I set that as my default for data on the phone).

I also travel all around Wales and Hampshire/Sussex and very rarely have problems with Three. Even when driving on the M4/M3 I get constant streaming from Llanelli to Winchester on Three/ID. Also using speed tests I consistently get better download speeds through Three/ID than I do with BT/EE.

Certainly there will be areas where it is not suitable but is this not the same for every provider? Just make sure Three are good for where you spend most of your time.

On another note I was with ID mobile (left because BT was cheaper at the time) and my wife is currently with them. They are great until something goes wrong. Their customer services seem to be good on the surface but I have had it more than once where they have agreed to do something and then when I ring back (because nothing has been done) they can find no record on their systems. Cancelling was very easy though so if you go on the 30 day contract I would say overall it is well worth trying them.
Good deal if you get a good 3 connection in your area (I do at work but not at home).

By the way, texts are universal, everyone (apart from kcajjones - see above) can use them. What's*pp can only be used by those that download it and, apparently texts that contain Telegram links aren't censored in good old SMS.
Been on the ID £10 4GB deal for 3 months now, no issues and PAC transfer was smooth enough.

You are of course free to hold this opinion, but in over 5 years you have yet to post a deal yourself. If you did you would realise how demotivating it is to have your deal knocked bu comments like yours. At least give us more information and suggest a better phone company....
Went with ID after being with Tesco for 2 years and from day 1 it was a joke couldn't get a signal in my house or street and i live in Birmingham, ive never had a issue before. I had 4gb of 4G but couldn't use 500mb as i never had a signal i stuck with it for 3 months until a friend rang the house and asked why my mobile was off when it was on and on the table infront of me. I contacted iD's **** poor customer service and they asked why i wanted to leave, i explained i couldn't get a signal they were not surprised. iD are a joke and its no wonder they give out loads on minutes and data its to tempt people to their service but most leave when they experience the poor signal and customer service. Im now with Life and have no such problems.

We have also had this message frequently and would avoid this firm completely unless you have a lot of time on your hands to deal with customer care but if you go by price alone it's a good deal for the money but the firm is not great to deal with

And the moral of that story is, don't sign up for a contract until you've checked you can get a signal
Can I switch to this if I'm already on ID?

So you changed networks without checking whether the new network had a good signal in the places you spend the most time?

It's always worth grabbing a PAYG SIM to test how good the signal on a network you're thinking of signing a contract with is in the places you need it. It doesn't even have to be a SIM from the same MVNO, just one that uses the same actual network (Three, in iD's case).

Also, for what it's worth, iD aren't cheap because the signal is rubbish, they have the same signal as Three....for better or worse.

Ring iD CS and ask? The worst they can say is "no".

I did that a few months ago because they had a double the data deal on (this one I think) for the same price I was paying. They said at present I could not move to it and the only way to get it was to leave them and come back.

I told them that if I was leaving I was not coming back and went to BT for less data but £5 cheaper. However as I have said I was very happy with them when I was with them so much so I moved my wife across to the new deal

In fact when my 12 month deal is over with BT I will probably go back to ID.

I can confirm this too

I called yesterday and they said open a new contract, but I'll lose my number

So the only way is to leave
