For those with a good Three signal why would you not choose Smarty instead though?
£2 more gets you 30gb of data. If you have more than one sim with them (for partner/kids etc) you can have a group of sims and get 30Gb for £9 each....

You've completely missed the point. You were saying someone should pay an extra £2.00 for extra data they may not need. Just vote on the deal posted and don't try to second guess what's best for everyone else based on your needs.

Possibly because you might not need more than 10gb of data per month? I know I don't.

Not at all, Just offering the smarty tariff as an alternative as people might not know it exists. Some people may want more than 10gb and not be aware that for a couple of pounds more they can get more data.

Just because you don't need more than 10Gb doesn't mean other people don't either...

Good if you can get by the Three network. I had poor reception with Three but might be better for others.

Voted hot, was on ID for a few years before switching to a cashback deal with 3 and now on Smarty.
If you're considering this also have a look at Smarty.
Downsides to Smarty is CS is only via messaging and waiting for a reply, and also no app (you can check your account online though) other than that Smarty are better value.

yes. scummy company. If anything goes wrong they will file it on the credit ratings agencies - irrespective whether it is due to their incompetence. Then you have to live with a bad credit rating until to give in to their demands or the period lapses. In the meantime you will have difficulty taking out credit cards loans mortages, for the sake of a few pounds saving a month

Going by previous threads yes which may indeed put quite a few people off dealing with this company.
I'm already with ID Mobile.
How do I change tariff to this one?
Can you change tariff on the app?
Good deal, no problems with ID, I moved the family to it from O2. No issues with credit score either.

Yes, it's a case of horses fer courses methinks

I had a cheap deal with iD (I think)
£3.99 pm Sim only
500 mins
unlimited text
could have been 1000, so as good as unlimited... fer most mere mortals
and less than a GB of data that rolled over.

I'm not a mobile data user as a rule, but I wanted to access my (free) Spotify when out walking in the middle of nowhere, so opted fer an upgrade.

Unlimited minutes
Unlimited texts
2GB of data
(= about 35 hours of Spotify) not sure if it rolls over, but hope it does...every little helps.
fer £6 pm

Could I get a cheaper deal? perhaps, perhaps not, but fer the price? an upgrade has done the (hassle free) job fer me.

Their pay and go plan has cheaper international rates than pay monthly option.

That's odd. I used the app and clicked on the SIM deals through the upgrade screen. It's still there now so not ended. Don't know if this hints that it's account specific perhaps? Sorry can't be any more help.

Just changed my existing month by month contract. Same number same sim same amount of data but with now unlimited minutes. And £2 a month cheaper than I was paying. The allowance looks to of been pro - rata til the end of my month billing cycle within about 10 minutes of hitting the button.

iD Mobile is much better than Smarty as it also offers 4G calling and WiFi Calling and Data rollover

You can also get £7 cashback buying this deal via Topcashback.
Thanks OP, logged in and swapped to this deal - says it will be updated with new plan in 30 mins.

They use 3’s network, if it’s getting worse from a network perspective you’ll. it be any better off.
Voted cold. As others have mentioned, an extra £2 gets far more data with Smarty. Regardless of that, avoid iD/Smarty as Three’s network is awful. Even in London I was getting dreadful speeds.
What I don't like about switching ID mobile plans is you lose the benefit of your rolled over data for that month. Seems a bit petty to me...or maybe it's me being petty

Perhaps because I have wifi at home and work, so I'd never use 30GB?

Better coverage and speed. If I'm correct, smarty doesn't have access to Three's B20 (better coverage) or B32 (speed). And if you're in a black spot but have WiFi, you can make and receive calls over WiFi.
