Pretty sure ID Mobile do a credit check on you. SMARTY don’t do this. Might be a consideration for some. (edited)

Worth noting too that iD will bill you by Direct Debit as postpay, so you will be billed for any "overuse" (eg calling premium rate numbers). You can set a bill cap at £0 though to stop this. However this could be useful for some if you need direct debits on your bank accounts or get cashback eg Santander.

SMARTY on the other hand is a prepaid operator so you cannot be billed for overage, you would have to top up credit onto it, and pay by automatic reoccuring card payment.

Wife complains about my signal all the time. I travel a bit and find it is generally pretty poor than EE & Vodafone who I was with before. The benefit is that it's free for EU travel which is a major benefit for me and partly only reason to stay.

Talkmobile offer free EU Roaming and uses Vodafone network, as owned by Vodafone.

Pay less, get slightly less data but they have data rollover. No way anyone uses over 100gb a month?

You’d be surprised at how many do.

Heat added Same price as the SMARTY deal but this one includes 16 more (50 in total) roaming destinations compared to SMARTY (34 in total). Everything else pretty much the same. No price rise till next year And when they do I'm sure you can negotiate an even better deal. I've read someone got this deal for £14 when their contract ended.

    Main differences to SMARTY are

    - iD is a direct debit post pay so you have to do a credit check. This can be a benefit if you need direct debits on a bank account or get cashback (eg Santander).
    - You'll pay for any overage on your bill, eg if you make international calls, premium rate, unless you set a bill cap.
    - SMARTY you'll pay by card automatically, to make non-included calls/use you have to top up credit.
    - iD have cheaper international calls, some of the cheapest in the market.
    - iD has slightly more roaming destinations, 50 vs 36 - the main extras are the whole British CTA: Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey. Others are more niche like Monaco, Macedonia, Azerbaijan etc
    - Roaming on iD is surcharged after after about 11.5GB, SMARTY you'll have 12GB
    - SMARTY offer free MMS (if anyone still uses that)

Personally I marginally prefer iD in most cases due to their wider roaming area, lower international call rates and the fact that you can usually negotiate pricing plans. (edited)

Any idea regarding speeds vs three, smarty and ID and is they any network priority or band restrictions?

I received my SIM today Unfortunately speeds are extremely slow for me (around 10Mbps download on 4G and around 20Mbps on 5G and 0.01Mbps upload on both 4G and 5G) I'm near Cardiff city centre and on VOXI I get 100+Mbps download and around 3Mbps upload on 4G (slow upload but still better than the three network). It all depends on the area you live in. I might use the SIM for a couple of days more and see if things improve but I won't see that happening anytime soon. It was worth a try
