Great price for a low use sim from iDMobile. 2.5GB for £5 with a 30 day contract is not to be sniffed at in my opinion!

Just tried it through the app and the option is there but it's showing as £6.

Just been on the site and its £5 if you go though the link at top of page but as you said £6 if you go direct to ID website.

Just ordered thanks OP
Looks like it's £5 via the link, otherwise £6 via the website (non-link). Appears as £6 if existing customer it seems - boo.
£6 for existing customers, unless OP can help us out with an alternative way to access the deal. Appears as £6 on the website.
thnks op
thanks for the deal, and the user comments and advice regarding paying £5 instead of £6.

Have you tried calling customer services? I'm really curious whether they held up the promise to improve customer services.

I'm with ID Mobile as well, but on payg and not looking to switch.

Not officially. Some quote about it using the data up too quickly. However, if you do, apparently you don't get thrown off.
For anyone wondering, customer services can't/won't switch you to this deal. It's exclusive to HUKD and uSwitch.
Also includes European Roaming. Amazing deal. Just taken one out and will cancel wife's contract. Tempted to cancel mine as well for this... or at least take it out and wait for mine to run down in Jan.
Has anyone received email confirmation of their order?

I ordered this morning, through the deal link, and still haven't had any confirmation of my order.

Hi can I ask how ID?
I ordered this through the app, £6. Got confirmed and the app states my new contract will start next month.
Ordered. Thanks for posting. I'm paying £10 with three for 4gb data which I never use.
If I buy this now, anyone know how long this rate will last for?
Thought it might be worth asking here...I'm on a ID £5 tariff from a while back and on triple data but they've just sneakily reduced it to double (it was only meant to last a year and it's been longer so they're free to do that), so this deal would be good, but...I presume they won't let me port my number to a new contract. So will I be safe porting out to a PAYG and porting back in? Timing will presumably be important to avoid paying too much on the PAYG (which I'll have to credit) and to not run the ID contracts concurrently for too long. Main thing is I can't risk losing my number.

Yes, I would say you'll be safe doing that. I've done the same myself multiple times before, including to giffgaff sims.

Thanks, thought it should be ok but just wanted to check if there's anything I should watch for.
Tried to call and get this deal and they wouldn't change my existing plan over. Not very fair...

Well I decided to switch out of ID with the intention of switching back to this deal. Switched to Plusnet's £6 deal with 2Gb data. Although I'm paying one pound more the reception is much better at work so I might stick with Plusnet anyway.

Hi t3r4, you would need to be a customer for 30-days before we could change your plan, however, It may be that this deal is only available for new customers.

Hi LaTercia, I am afraid you would be unable to port your number from one iD account to another, that's correct.

We couldn't guarantee that a ''triangular port' (where you port to another network, then back to us) would be sucessful, howsoever, can advise that this has worked for many customers in the past. Taking this risk would be at your own discretion.

If you need any further advice then please do not hesitate to contact our Social Media Team over on Facebook or Twitter, they are always more than happy to help.

Sounds a bit iffy doing a port with ID then, but actually quite glad you don't let customers switch to a better tariff as it prompted me to move elsewhere which gives me a better deal and with a good network, so worked out well.
I cancelled my contract. Reception was non existent in my house. Didn't use the SIM and still got charged £1.11. Classy.

Hi neilm22, we're sorry to hear that you had poor coverage in your area but glad that you were able to cancel your contract within 14-days, we would hate for you to pay for something you can use. Please drop our Social Media Team a message so they can look into covering the £1.11 for you.

I have messaged. It was actually £1.22 ha ha.
These sorts of gestures actually show what sort of company you are. I was gutted to have no reception because 2.25gb would have been good for my wife's contract because most months she hardly uses 250mb (mostly on wifi) but it's good to have that data just in case all for only £5. Should my 3 reception improve I would definitely look at joining your network again with 1 or 2 contracts.
