Hey,

Ordered this laptop when it was on sale previously. The one I got had the 4700u, 16gb ram, but had a 2280 ssd rather than 2242, 92 watt charger, and the 2.4mm IPS screen.

If you can get this with the 2.4mm screen, do, it's such a great little power house for the price. The 2.4mm ips screen has 90-99% srgb values (somewhere up there). I got it as a photo/video editing device, and it is superb for that.

Gaming wise. I did load CoD Warzone on it just put of curiosity, and it does actually play the game at 40-60fps (average ~50fps) (EDIT: At 720p) with just the integrated graphics. Bear in mind the settings are lowest possible so it looks a bit pish.

However, impressive given it's not got dedicated graphics. Fantastic machine.

Add the wifi 6 option. You will regret it if you don't. This is a blistering spec for the price

Good deal mate
This or a hp envy x360?
So much spec for the money. Hot!
Is this good for gaming like cs go?

The envy has a touchscreen(I think?) so if you want a touchscreen go for that, on the other hand, this has better specs for a lower price making it far better value than the envy.
Very powerful for this price.. I wish i could get this student discount.
Heat added 🔥

It's not really a gaming laptop, it might work on low settings. For gaming the HP Pavilion deal is much better.

Okay thanks
For the sake of clarify. Can I get this without being a student?
I thought the newsletter code and student discount no longer stacked. Has that changed?

Worked for me mate - was not aware you could not stack unless it varies on items sold by Lenovo.
Personally I wouldn't buy it without USB C charging. You want something that is not only modern, but future proof.

The days of lugging around a barrel charger are over.

Yeah the stock for laptops is all over the place right now, maybe they are still working on supply chains/labour?

Some laptops have USB C charging options, worth waiting.

Yes, you'll be able to play older games like CS Go easily - 1080p, decent graphics settings.

However, if you're looking to play modern titles you'll be playing them on low at 720p.

Unless I am mistaken, i think this does support USB-C.

Cheers man thanks a lot
If only I qualified!!!
This is not 100% sRGB screen. The 2.6mm screen option was the sRGB one. Nonetheless, excellent price even with the decent IPS display 👌
Is there a 15 inch version?

I ordered this in its absolute highest spec but had to wait 3 or 4 months for delivery. I needed a laptop so got the envy 13" instead. I watched a lot of reviews and unboxings .... Envy is extremely premium feeling and has a touchscreen, glossy display and the ability to rotate 360 degrees. Ideapad according to reviews is quite a bit cheaper feeling with a matte display but packs a punch performance wise. Matte or glossy is personal preference though. I'm very glad I got the envy in the end but both seem great.

I hope the delays have now been resolved. Ordered the highest spec one from a deal posted on here. Waited for a couple of months before i received it . Still a cracking deal 💥💥

The 2.4mm screen option is not available as a configuration nor was the charger so tried to spec this machine best way possible in terms of overall value
