bought one last year (different brand), but invaluable when the heat hit during the summer with our newborn.

Word of warning / caution - you need to vent it properly otherwise any cooling effect is lost by the (very) hot air chucked out the exhaust vent.
Great proce for a baic aircon albeit used

NB I think paying a little more for the newer model perhaps represents better value?

7000 BTU
Cheers op. For 100 I'm willing to risk this in the summer months
Looked decent value before I read the reviews.
Owned this a while back very loud but £100 is a bargain I got it for around £300
Ordered one, they are easy with returns. If it’s no good you can just return it

Yep, to use it effectively, you need a window kit to effectively "seal off" the window from pumping in more hot air back into the room.
The reviews are terrible.
Used as new aka comes with free dose of legionaries disease

That's why you clean it, and run it through outside first.

Could be brand new just sayin
OOS
I have this model, it's ok for a small bedroom however I think it's more like 7000btu performance wise as it doesn't get as cool as a 8000 unit I also have at home. Still a good price though
This unit is awful. I had one, and it got returned. Even when using window seal to ventilate, the temp never got below 22 degrees.

22c is a comfortable temperature. You'll certainly feel it cooler then the summer heat.

3 to 4 times more?
Purchased 3 of these about a month or two ago for 88, two looked brand new and one didn't work (didn't get cool) so returned. Not tried it in hot weather yet, but half the size of my old delonghi Aircon unit. For the price it's super worth it. Good luck trying to get any Aircon unit in the summer months for a ton.

Got one and it’s been excellent.
For it to be efficient, it’s needs to be vented outside, ensure all windows that can be closed are. I made a seal for window using cardboard and duct tape
Ok if you wearing headphones all day
Good for the home gym. (now I just need the home gym bit)
Well it's arrived and the plate to connect the unit to the ducting is broken and I can't find anywhere that sells replacement parts. What a waste of time

I would try getting in touch with Delonghi to see if they can provide parts before sending it back... They may ask for your invoice but it shouldn’t show that it was a warehouse item if I remember correctly. If you do end up returning it, don’t take no for an answer on the courier. They are required by the Consumer Rights Act to pay postage on faulty goods. If you’re getting nowhere on live chat (I’ve found it like talking to a brick wall lately) you can email them with your message and photos of the fault at cs-reply@amazon.co.uk.

They're willing to refund the money for postage just an absolute pain having to deal with it myself after they have sent an item with broken parts and missing parts. It's a bloody large item. It's gonna cost over £25 for me to do it and they'll refund it once they've received it but surely this costs them more to do it this way and is an utter pain for me to have to arrange considering who screwed up.
And with a shocking turn of events, I contacted igenix asking if they could supply replacement parts which I would see if amazon could refund the cost of. Igenix said they have the parts and would send them out completely free. That's some excellent customer service from igenix so far
